Well honestly, I agree with most of what is being said the media definitely treats different races differently.

But I will say this, if James Holmes was black and a Ph D. student in Nueroscience I really don't think it would be "He's a thug, a hoodlum!" like some of you think. Your average hillbilly might say that, but I doubt the majority of the media would take that slant

Nonsense. They would have went digging through his personal life and criminal record trying to find anything to demonize him. If he had ever bought a bag of weed or had unpaid tickets it would have been highlighted to show he was truly a thug underneath it all. I'm sure they would have drawn out every bad grade he'd ever gotten to show he wasn't that intelligent either.

Another thing, they'd find any person in his past that could speak to any possible "thuggish" behaviors and ignore or gloss over any references that painted him in any positive or normal light. And Lord help him if he had any family members that were cons/ex-cons or lived in the hood, he'd be a thug by association and upbringing (like the rest of us ******s)
