Of course grime is a sub genre of Rap you morons, they rap lol.
Sound like those white boys who love to praise Grime because its edgy, un commercialized etc, stfu they all rap about the same shyt, and all the early grime artists took their influence from US rappers, undoubtedly, otherwise they wouldn't be rapping in the first place.
Yes and no. A lot of early Grime were offshoots of UK garage and Jungle MC's who based their style around the Dancehall deejays from Jamaica stylistically in how they tend to repeat bars and sonically in how the sets derived from Jamaican clash culture.
So far I posted 3 videos, 2 from the early years where Grime cats are flat out saying it's the UK's take on Hiphop and cat's still want to argue against it.
You not from the UK bruv

Future isn't traditional HipHop so yes, he could be a SUBGENRE. All it takes to be a subgenre is to have one foot in and another in divergent territory. For example, Miami Bass isn't trad HipHop but a subgenre of rap for the reasons I just explained. Lets take a look at some HipHOp sub genres
