Electronic music's roots stem from pre-war times FFS. Before Hip hop was ever a thing.
nikka, at the time of Grimes birth, No One was listening to Southern music like that in the UK, so how you think that sound influenced Grime is beyond me.
Also, If you wanna make futile comparisons with Hip Hop being the main influence on Grime, a more apt one would be Jungle/UK Garage/Rave songs, instead of skipping generations and going straight to Dancehall.
