In my opinion comic book movies like dredd are hands down the best and funnest to watch.

Dredd's character suits that though. He is who he is..he's like Jaws..he's an already existing entity and he's a force. Thor, Batman, Iron Man, Spider-Man..etc, they have more to their characters so there's a lot more to discover. The best thing about Spider-Man has always been Peter Parker and the crap he has to deal with, his life is what makes the character interesting. Stan Lee said it himself: He created a soap opera where every once in a while, a fight would break out. I feel where you're coming from son but what works for Dredd won't work for every hero because they aren't built that way.

Yes, I believe that formula would work well with damn near any comic book movie

I think for certain characters it would but others not so much. Depending on how deep they're embedded in pop culture. A Batman or Superman or Spider-Man story like that COULD work because everyone knows them so well. Their stories are ubiquitous. But it doesn't bug me when I get the deeper stuff from a spider man flick because that's part of what makes that character unique and who he is. Eventually, once reboot fever ends, some studio will take that route and just do a day in the life type flick. I know they were trying to do that with Green Arrow a few years ago, a flick with him trapped in a supermax full of villains that he put away and other DC villains.

The critics who shytted on MoS, really just wanted wack-ass 70's Christopher Reeves Superman. If you fukk with the "DCAU/Timmverse", "DC Universe Animated Original Movies", or/and "Young Justice", You'll like Man of Steel.

This is pretty stupid. If Clark would have saved Pa, then the world would know Clark is indeed Superman. The tornado happened in his home town of smallville. Clark spent his entire life saving people under aliases and disguises (The beard).
The lack of understanding that scene doesn't lie with the movie, but with the comic books in which Clark and Supes are entirely different characters separated by a pair of glasses, clothing, and demeanor. The only way simple minded morons would get that would for Supes to become a shape shifter.
The crazy thing is, they hated that and cried for something new..they got something new and continued to cry. I'm not saying it's perfect but this movie was made in direct response to the criticism of Superman Returns
Breh, hell yeah that'd be a great idea. Better yet. They can adapt Arkham Origin's assassin storyline. I see no way how that could turn out to be anything but crazy. Batman running around trying to stop all these criminals while fukking Deathstroke and others are gunning for his head.

Movie is not trashed and its way better then Superman Returns. It just needed a good director that knows how to make an action movie like Snyder. I still think if Brandon Routh came back it would of been just as good. If you remember Brandon Routh and Singer were supposed to come back to do MOS. WB opted out to not do that. Brandon Routh wasn't the problem in Returns it was Singer and the writers. People complain about Brandon's size in Returns but he was restricted to not get any bigger due to the suits already being made. I prefer Routh's height compared to Cavill at least he really towers over people. Like some of the soldiers in Man of Steel were just as tall as him or taller. You can see Routh's size really bulked up since Returns and looks more mature now, he would of been a good size if he went through the same training regimen that Henry Cavill did without having any restrictions on him by the director since Snyder is all about his actors being in the best shape during production.
