This is pretty stupid. If Clark would have saved Pa, then the world would know Clark is indeed Superman. The tornado happened in his home town of smallville. Clark spent his entire life saving people under aliases and disguises (The beard).
The lack of understanding that scene doesn't lie with the movie, but with the comic books in which Clark and Supes are entirely different characters separated by a pair of glasses, clothing, and demeanor. The only way simple minded morons would get that would for Supes to become a shape shifter.
these a$$holes will never be happy. Superman Returns which was ok they bytch about. Man of Steel which was good they bytch about. there will never be a Superman movie that satisfies them because the nature of the character makes producing a good movie that pleases everyone too difficult.Something I have been trying to figure out for a while now and since the BB vs MoS thread started I see people calling it trash again.
What is it brehs? Enlighten me, because I have watched MoS twice and still think its a great movie.
Was it too dark?
Body count too high?
Did the ending bother you? I thought it was alright...
What's up brehs? What will it take to satisfy the nerds to accept a superman movie?
Man of Steel did over 660M on a 250m budget. Batman Begins did 370M on a 150m budget. on paper it was more successful than Batman Begins.Mediocre acting and dragging script, boring, repetitive DBZ-style fight scenes with subpar CGI and choreography, too much brooding, ridiculous cartoonish opening scene with the bulky costumes and cartoon flying dogs, very generic vision of Superman as a character. The trailer was excellent and had me interested. It's too bad the movie didn't live up to it- the cast was great and with a better script and fight design, they could have had another Batman Begins type success on their hands.
