dog, so u were a D1 athelete on scholarship. that kinda means you're an elite level athlete. not average joe staying in shape.
I wasn't saying that I wasnt because I did play college football. I was saying that a guy who didnt do any specific training and just played soccer (not for a team) was faster than me at the time. It just seemed like when you said "hardly anyone" I took it as "basically no one".

When I started back running again for shyts and giggles It was between 8 and 9. But that was a year ago so I'm probably 10+ if I were to try now :flabbynsick:

I did the 400 in hs so that's definitely all I got energy for. Salute to the nikkas running the 800+

Running a flat out mile at top speed is coo but I only think it matters how fast you can go for miles. I would say (an average of the times for) 3 straight miles is a good distance to guage your actual foot speed. Another reason is: if you had to actually get somewhere that was like 5 miles away, how fast can you get there? Like if you had to deliver some important meds to someone.

I was down to 8:30 per mile for a three mile run earlier this year. Summer got a niqqa a lil off his square. Vacas and shyt.

it took me over 6 hours to run a marathon so i ain't doing shyt :francis:
i did a 2 mile fun run event a couple months ago in less than 18 minutes but i think the course wasn't measured right :francis:
some of the racewalkers beat me in a charity 10k :francis:
they hit me with the "good job" when i cross the finish job- the timer, the photographer, and the recorder.. cause no one else is paying attention by that point :francis:
most of the post-race food is gone by the time i finish :francis:
the portable medical unit always give me the leostare when they drive around looking for people who might need assistance :francis:
last race i got chased down by a sloppy lena dunham lookalike in the last 100 yards :francis:
aight i better quit:francis:

Now? If I run just a mile, I ran a 7+ in 2013, I almost died, for real. I will never do that again. I didn't jog for 3 days after.

If I'm running multiple miles, which I do, it's between 8:30 and 9 minutes.

I ran track in mid-highschool. I played football since I was a kid. I blew my acl sophomore year, had a hard recovery going into college. I played D1 but I blew it again in spring training. I spent more time in physical therapy than I did practice and S&C training. :mjcry: Sophomore yr college I had an unrelated accident and it was over with. I barely survived, let alone played again competitively. Got invited by the Falcons to come to TC but I wasnt in playing shape, nore would I ever be again. :flabbynsick: Didnt even go. My pops was pissed (played in the league). I was getting money with my management company in Atlanta by then so I wasnt tripping at all.

Dang, sorry to hear that breh. Hate to hear about injuries to athletes.

Seems like you have everything under control in life regardless... So...

:salute:
