Honestly if I lived outside of the city I couldn't attend parties that far away unless I was able to sleep over or spend the night in a hotel.

State troopers in several states would like nothing more than to ruin a Black Man's life.

Why risk it over a few hours of fun. Only attend parties that are either cheap to get a cab to and from or have a hotel nearby that is affordable where you can sleep it off.

Trust me I know. i party a lot but I as a college student I Usually am living a very short walk from the scene since its that close to campus.

Man, you better get a DUI lawyer especially since you blew. That's the main evidence they have against you so you gotta be lawyer'd up.

But bro I'm a bit confused by this. Wouldn't this mean I'm basically done for since I blew. I'm not sure what a lawyer can do to reduce what I get.

Seems like everything is a directly correlated to BAC and automatic. Seems like the point where things get bad is .15 and if I remember I was at 1.56 BAC so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get the standard.

I wouldn't have blown but recall the officer saying that if I didn't things would get much worse for me. I assumed that meant not blowing had mandatory stipulations.

i know your mind is racing cause you've never been in big trouble before so here's some advice. Take a deep breath. Next get a got damn lawyer, one of those former prosecutors who turned criminal defense lawyer. You need inside connections at this point

Texas?

I used to write a lot of business out there back in the day.

You blew over the limit.

Mandatory suspension of your license for two years.
You're looking at a $1500-$2000 fine.

Depending on the judge and severity, you could be ordered to also:

Jail for a week going all the way up to six months.
Get an interlock device
Pay an annual 2k surcharge for three years on your license.
Take an dui intervention class that you'd have to pay for.

Already been arrested before. Only for possession, no dui. Inside connections?

Yeah try to get a DUI/DWI attorney fam.

Depending on how golden their vocals are, you may be able to get off with a suspended license and community service. I've seen it happen with some of my fam over there in Liberty. The only problem you would really have is probably no insurance company would want to touch you for a few years.

You're assuming he was driving, in the legal position per his state of driving, or they can prove he was driving.

That isn't a safe assumption considering he was passed out, in a parked car, with a blown tire, and there wasn't an accident.

They have a breathalyzer proving he was intoxicated....in a parked car....at night...with a blown tire.

He has a case...
