Yeah that's the exact defense I expected. You were close though with that second offense breh...! Glad it worked out (comparatively). Sucks with the money and the breathalyzer for sure though.

Same shyt happened for my minesFunny story. I was crashing out back in those days, just going thru it.
So heres the update from what 8 years ago lol.
Got the DUI, lawyered up and she was weeks from getting it dropped to a public intoxication or obstruction, mainly because the cop had got tied up in something and i technically didnt have probable cause to be checked on. My lawyer had argued that drunk or not, who's to say I drove there drunk. Whos to say my tire wasnt already flat.
Of course in the wild fashion my life was going. Had some baddies call me up to go out a couple weeks before my court date... I had a couple drinks. Didn't get drunk, and stopped drinking about an hr before heading home. I somehow managed to park the wrong direction on a one way. I started my car and get hit up again
Cop was like you know have to park the right direction on a one way. U been drinking? I pointed out to him all the cars where parked the same way I was. He asked for a breathalyzer and I told him no and refused a sobriety test so I got booked a 2nd time like 4 months after the first time.
Now I was in some shyt cuz I still hadnt closed the first case. They had the judge provide a search warrant for my blood. And I was at a .02 blood alc level. So I wasn't drunk. My lawyer got me off pretty light on technicalities: 1st tine I was drunk but not driving (at least no proof I was), 2nd time was driving but not drunk.
Lost a shyt load of money, had to have a breathalyzer in my car for a year, and probation for a year.
shyt was trash but learned my lesson. Life changing experience really. In a span of 4 months life got really hard quick.
On the bright side, I was still in college and on the presidents list and was making a 3.9 GPA so my PO really laid off me the last half of probation.
Needless to say that was my 3rd and last tine getting arrested
Now if I go out I just Uber regardless. Especially if in the city. Learned DUI’s are mainly about money and they’re going to try to break your pockets. I was cool but that breathalyzer is BS… they didn’t know I had a second whip so…

Lawyer fees were like $10-15k, then monthly probation dues, then breathalyzer fees and maintenance, car impounded at like $300 a time, new tire and alignment, if I had a sip of anything it was straight uber everywhere for up to $100 a ride.

I know in most States and DC once your key is in the ignition, youre in the act off driving

Man… my old coworker needed a jump start, and after I hooked up the cables, I told her to start it, and I see her bent over by the shift knob. I’m like what is this bítch doing? I look and she giving sloppy toppy to her ignition lock. A year later she had to resign so she could go to prison, as she got another dui.
I don’t think you can even be in the driver’s seat. You better get in the back seat and sleep it off.

I rapped in college. Still produce music.
Won't say I chose alcohol but moreso anxiety chose me. I had bad anxiety my whole life, even though no one would ever really know cuz I force myself to opt out and cope well.
I realized why my extended family are alcoholics. Im not an alcoholic but I am an alcohol abuser. Potential is definitely there the past 8 years or so I just have to make sure I'm not drinking when I feel anxious.

No hate. I have never drive drunk but I definitely drink a beer while driving on a daily basis
. That 24oz Modelo Negra just hits right while cruising on the road. But I'm parking and going to sleep if I ever feel drunk.
