Well it looks like they've given you what you asked for.

Not sure exactly how I feel about it though. I was hoping for a couple small tweaks and it looks like they've completely redone everything.

Not thrilled about an axe as my main weapon either

you dont know if that's a fact...its a demo everything can change by the time it drops

The blades of chaos are iconic, but I got tired of using them too.
I'd be fine if they don't make an appearance as a main weapon.
It would be dope if they go deeper into Kratos' character and show him trying to move on.
I would be fine if he doesn't fight any gods at all.
I would think it would be kind of weird to have a universe that has Zeus and the Norse gods as well coexisting.

so why would you want to go back to a closed environment, with QTE's every 5 minutes, while button mashing your way to the end of the game?

My point was that the game needs to evolve, cause if they make it similar to Ascension, then it'll be boring, dragged on, and only pleasing to the eye. Which is only what @fatboi cares about, as per his comments.

I'm sure he still goes back to play the order every other day cause OMG IT HAS THE BEST GRAPHIX!!!!

I don't think they need to go too story exposition on this. They still gotta bring the A game when it come to fukking shyt up. This new lookk is nice but I hope they don't try to Last of Us-ize God of War in an attempt to tell a story.

It's hard to say but I'm leaning between this game and TLG. Horizon looks cool too.

Im actually torn between GOW and Horizon but leaning slighty more towards GOW.

That biker game what ever it was called looked really interesting to me too.
Oh and Resident Evil 7.

The old GOW gameplay was getting stale. The Blades were getting stale.

The Ax looks dope and fits with the Nordic setting.

The music played at the beginning is the new theme for GOW
You will play as Kratos the entire game
The game takes place many years after GOW 3
This game will link back to the events of GOW 3
Definitely not coming out this year and they can't say if its coming out next year for sure

Mythological doesn't absolutely have to involve gods though, and I don't see how a different set of gods can coexist within the same story.
We already saw him fight a giant beast of some sort in the video.
The came could easily be just that. Different types of beasts and some sort of clan/tribe leader.
The point is there are options outside of him having to kill a god every single level.
