If y’all don’t see the bias…:dead:

I came up in a time wear “voter fatigue!!!” was used almost every year during some of the greatest multi regular season runs in NBA history. Now? “Y’all just hate white ppl!!” Listen, just going by optics and metrics, Jokic does indeed deserve the MVP this year. But the problem many have expressed, is that goalpost have been moved every year and there hasn’t been any real consistency during all 3 of Jokics MVP candidacies. Ironically, this is his most iron clad year. After he’s already won two…..

Just an all around weird trajectory and series of events. I just wanna know, how we will determine MVPs going forward. If voter fatigue is officially a thing of the past, I can’t see why Joker couldn’t go for his 4th considering the optics. Again, he’s won two while not having the best record(and it didn’t matter because he was overachieving playing alongside bums), and it looks like he’s gonna win a 3rd…primarily because he has his team playing with the best record. I don’t see why the optics of him being a consistent annual floor raise can’t net him the first 4peat given Denver’s situation not really changing and if “voter fatigue” now a thing of the past. I mean, I’m with it I guess. Voter fatigue was always bullshyt. I’m glad Joker is changing the narrative. So that’s a positive.

So a thread hyping Giannis for MVP is hating on Jokic?

Son is puttting up literal Wilt Chamberlain numbers with elite defense and has led his team to the best record in basketball with his second option missing most of the season and still on minutes restriction off the bench as we speak

Since apparently it’s hate speech to openly consider other players possibly having a case for MVP, let’s just rename it the Nikolai Jokic Memorial Award and just assume he wins it every year until he retires or the computers say otherwise…. MVP discussions henceforth should be had with the mutual understanding we mean most valuable non-Jokic players, as not to offend any parties

When it's the 500th thread with the same arguments making an absolute case for Giannis that excludes Joker from the convo....

Uhhhh

Duhhhhh

I really just don't know

I'm so confused

Wait is it about da playoffs or regular season?

what do yoo think bout da fatigue?

what will we tell da children about these 3 years?

so what the nuggets are the #1 seed they wasn't #1 last year

oh look the bucks are #1 now so you better be consistent

if you don't count Magic Johnson only da white boys win mvp when they don't average 29.5 ppg

jokic should be in jail for what he did do da morris twin

:mjcry: :mjcry: :mjcry:

Ain't nobody gonna seriously engage none of this embarrassing shyt.

I hope Joker wins the next 4. fukk it! I hope this becomes the norm. Best player with the most underwhelming supporting cast gets the MVP, no matter how many times they won it before. Don’t let these militants frustrate you from actually having discussions. It’s ok. Your invitation to the Sloan conference won’t be rescinded for engaging in an honest MVP race discussion with militants. :mjlol:

You're muddying the waters now.

Cats are only mad because Jokic is a fat Euro. If his name was Jamal Jones from Queens, there'd be no pushback.
Yeah. Just like there was never any pushback for LeBrons candidacy year after year. Just Jokic. :mjlol:

There’s always gonna be arguments on a players legitimacy for MVP. Whether they won one or three in a row. Again, I don’t see why Jokic legitimacy for 3 in a row is any less questionable than many other players who have won the award controversially. Westbrook still gets questioned for his.

Man get out of here with that bullshyt.. if that’s the case Curry done elevated his crew many times he ain’t get a 3rd mvp in a row.. Lebron was legit the league mvp for 5-6 years straight with the best record and he ain’t get 3 straight.. bozos made excuses about voter fatigue but now it’s a cac putting up numbers all of a sudden voter fatigue don’t matter
Curry was 2xMVP and then he got KD.

LeBron had several cases but he wasn’t winning over Curry in 2015 or 2016. Or over KD in 2014. Or over Harden in 2018. LeBron won 4 MVPs in 5 years!

And Jokic is putting up numbers and his team has been leading the West. Classic MVP case.

You're not comprehending the situation.

There's only pushback on this board because of Jokic being a fat Euro. Sure, there'd be conversations about him being deserving or not in regards to voter fatigue, but there's a contingent on this board who've set out from the very beginning with an agenda against him. They did the same thing last season. And the season before.

The season before was was a debatable race. Had Jokic did all he did this year, without already being crowned two MVPs, do you think he’d be getting as much pushback? The pushback comes from his previous two moreso than this one. This is his most clear and away deserving MVP just based on the metrics and having his team number one in the west. LeBron is a polarizing figure on this board. Whether he doesn’t get the same pushback that Jokic gets specifically for his race, doesn’t mean there haven’t been worthy black MVP winners who haven’t had their winning be delegitimized or questioned. Again, I think the defense of Jokic has much to do with ppl just being fed up with militants, more than anything and just wanting to appear super objective compared to the typical race arguments. Damn near every player who has won MVP(black or white) has had their award delegitimized because of an underwhelming post season run. And these are guys who only have one MVP to their name. Again, nobody is really jumping to Westbrooks defense. The consensus(on this board and outside of it) seems to be that he statpadded his way to an undeserved MVP. How much more hate is Jokic getting over past winners relative to the acclaim he gets from media and voters? :jbhmm:
