I feel like there’s a crowd of black fans who don’t want to be associated with any perceived militancy, so they go extra hard on folks who have differing opinions on who should/could be MVP over Joker. They don’t wanna be associated with angry hoteps, and faux-militant bias, so they do the complete 180 and act as tho it couldn’t possibly anyone else but joker.. Would it be a crime if Tatum, Giannis, or Embiid got MVP over Joker? Folks acting like it’s pretty much a done deal and considering anyone else would be ridiculous. We’ve seen deserving players not get it before. I hope Jokic gets it, so we can move on. Just end it. :hubie:

Aren’t the bucks first in the east? Y’all are acting like the fact that ppl are making it a competition, is a disservice to Jokic. Like Jokic should be running away with it, and considering anyone else is disrespectful. Embiid, Tatum and Giannis are putting up great numbers and leading their teams to wins as well. Yeah, Jokic has the nod and should be in the lead considering what he’s doing in the West(1st place, record breaking numbers). But why shouldn’t it at least be close? His Nuggets teammates aren’t horrible. Jamal Murray is a decent player. What am I missing here? Defensively the Nuggets seem solid too. Is that Jokic doing? Maybe I’m wrong.
Murray is a good player.

But are we seriously going to entertain the idea that Jokic's teammates are even remotely good as Giannis'?

Just imagine if Giannis was in Denver and Jokic got to play with Jrue, Brook, Middleton, Portis, Grayson, Carter, Ingles etc. All y'all would be crying about all the talent that Jokic has to play with, and saying Giannis is playing with bums.

So who would you have given the MVP these 3 seasons? Westbrook won an MVP despite clear evidence that he was the worst decision maker among stars all-time in the sport and would never win a ring barring extreme circumstances like him doing 5 minutes off the bench for a Bulls/Warriors level team. Jokic plays smart and efficiently on a not great team at a time where nobody in the league is going nuclear night to night. Giannis of course has played well, but had some lulls early on. Why is this controversial?
Only 3x mvp without rings and nikkas caping for him not having rings :wow:

You've got it fukked up.

It's the militants who're doing the most, and we're calling out their dumbass logic. Where are you getting this notion from that we're saying it can't possibly be anyone else but Jokic as if we came in with an agenda? We're calling out the agendas - not the other way around.

The militants are doing all that they can to say that Jokic doesn't deserve it. They've switched from Embiid to Giannis in the process.

I mean, Giannis has already been established as potentially one of the all time greatest two-way players. And a huge part of the Bucks championship pedigree has been their defense. Giannis has been a huge part of this(so has Jrue, Lopez, Middleton) but Giannis is that glue. And we saw him take Boston to 7 with no Middleton. Basically being a two way menace and effecting the game in multiple ways that Joker can’t.. I’m not sure if your put Joker on the 2021 bucks, they win a title. I’m not sure. I don’t know how Jokic would mesh with the bucks supporting cast on this current 2023 team. Would he be putting up the same numbers he is in Denver? A huge reasoning why he’s run away with the MVP the last couple years is because of these ridiculous offensive numbers. Would Giannis have gotten the nod last year if he was on Denver and putting up similar numbers? :manny:

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

The man literally got put on a t-shirt in the middle of a playoff series, and to add injury to insult he got his ass eliminated by the same bum team on his homecourt. And as I recall Kawhi’s series clinching J the other year was right in his motherfukkin mouth and made him cry harder in public than the faux militants do about Joker.

:mjgrin::mjgrin::mjgrin:

I thought the Coli told me the MVP was a "Regular Season award" :jbhmm:

Are Embiid and Gianni’s not deserving? They’ve both had great seasons thus far. Embiid even playing Joker head to head had an incredible game. It could be either one of the 4. Tatum, Embiid, Joker, Giannis. But I think brehs feel as though sports media has chosen their “guy” so to speak. That’s where the pushback comes from.

I was literally gonna quote him with the same thing. That’s the stuff brehs are talking about. Embiid has already built a reputation as a constantly injured playoff underachiever. And stuff like that comes up in these convos when they wanna take a jab at him in comparison to Jokic. But then hide their hand and act like those connotations have no bearing in these MVP convos. And I say that as a Heat fan who’s mocked JoJos big goofy always falling on the ground crybaby ass. :mjlol:

You're muddying the waters now.

Cats are only mad because Jokic is a fat Euro. If his name was Jamal Jones from Queens, there'd be no pushback.

Jokic is the MVP. He’s elevated so many dudes it’s incredible. Will Barton started 70+ games last year and dude got bought out cause he was so ineffective without Joker who he played with for 6-7 years.

Giannis has a case every year. But he’s missed time.

The ol’ Coli Jedi Mind Trickery, I see. I ain’t actin like a damn thing. Thread after thread of incoherent ranting and rationalizing, stat manipulation, ahistorical and out-of-context MVP standards and supposed precedents, claims of stat-padding and bias and liberal media conspiracies… but somehow I’m acting like something because I’m openly mocking the nonsense. Ask me how I feel about each MVP candidate and it’s guaranteed what I say will make more sense than everyone shytting on The Polar Bear Ballet GAWD.
