But yet the greatest Star Wars Film of all time The Empire Strikes Back is the movie with the least amount of involvement from Lucas :banderas:

So fukk his ideas, his story, and whatever garbage he tried to sell Disney :scust:

That is the biggest lie. Lucas was HEAVILY involved in every single Star Wars movie. And for the record the original "Star Wars" which Lucas wrote and Directed grossed more moeny than "Empire Stirkes Back" and it was more critically acclaimed, it won 7 Oscars. People love to bring up "Empire" to diss Lucas when "Star Wars" was bigger and had more impact.

I'm just posting what the creator of the franchise said. Who said anything about Fanboys? I'm correcting something you said that was FALSE. Lucas was HEAVILY involved in every film period, there is no debate. That's just the facts. Nothing on "The Empire Strikes Back" went on that screen without Lucas saying "YES". "Star Wars" was BIGGER Than EVERY "Star Wars" film and Lucas made that. So trying to discredit him by saying "Oh he didn't have much to do with Empire" doesn't fly.

fukk it, if he wanted to see his story he shouldn't have sold the rights.

Don't sell your shyt off and expect sympathy because you're not in charge anymore.

Some of the last few ideas Lucas had include jar jar binks, adding cgi bands in the original, choosing Hayden Christensen

and that's why they gave up on him

it's obvious they wanna go the star trek, modern way of making movies.... a lot of flash and effects and money... a lot of fighting and shootouts... a couple more adult themes... but juuuuuuuuuuust campy enough to be pg-13

they getting away from the kids movie stuff.. and i think going on with more of a "gritty" looking star wars.

depending on how this goes, i'd prefer the gritty version

Those star trek movies were trash, and the first one was basically a retelling of the first star wars if you go of the plot points

star wars is suppose to be for kids, you can't make it not for kids, and be star wars

Again, false. If by "heavily involved" you mean "he had terrible ideas, lines of dialogue, and characters that had to be rewritten or re-worked by people who received very little credit"....then yeah, he was heavily involved in all of them.

How is it 2015 and there's people that still don't know how little Lucas had to do with the OG "Star Wars" trilogy?

I mean you sold the rights bro, plus people havent really been feeling the direction you had been going in with the franchise anyways.

But still, I feel like Disney are some bullies, just outta respect for the dude that created it, I feel like they should consult him to some degree.

Agreed, there's a reason why Lucas has stated that he believes Empire Strikes Back is his the worst Star Wars film :sas2:

Remember Lucas knows the story better than anyone.

How does JJ Abrams or Disney know Star Wars Story Better than George Lucas?

lucas may be the initial creator but star wars was not entirely the result of his standalone vision.

if the prequels taught us anything, it's that george lucas doesn't even understand the BASIC MYTHOLOGY of star wars.

I like JJ but this is true. The 1st Star Trek was a "Star Wars" Rehash. This is one of the reasons they were happy with JJ, he made Trek more like Star Wars and the box office went up.

Yes he drew from many different inspirations but he was the one who brought it together in the end. The bottom line is Abrams and Disney DO NOT KNOW
STAR WARS the way George Lucas does. That fact can't be disputed or argued. We are talking about the trilogy after "Return of the Jedi". When Lucas gave those treatments it was probably just the story concepts of where Luke, Leia and Han and their kids go from here. To say this information isn't what Star Wars fans want is crazy. We've waited decades for this information. That's my only beef. The movie looks great and brings me back to my childhood. But the story was suppose to come from Lucas, that was what they told us from the beginning then Disney obviously change things.

are jerry sigel and joe shuster the only people capable of writing superman? are bob kane and bill finger the only people capable of writing batman? should no one should be allowed to adapt stories based on these characters without the input of their creators?

and yes, plenty of people know star wars better than george lucas does. the prequels are tangible proof.
