Disney bout to drop another classic
Sell your movie franchise for 4 billion dollars and still complain brehs.
Were not talking about his career we are talking about the frachise he created that we are still talking about 40 years later. He MADE the story. So if he said this is where the story should go as he's passing it off, then that's where the story should probably go.
What makes this any different than "Fan Fiction"? If they are following Lucas's outlines than you can say, "Sure it's JJ's film but he's following what Lucas wrote". By them making up their own story they while disregarding the creator's story, I can't cosign that. So I'm going to wait and see what JJ has to say about what was and wasn't used by Lucas. Remember Lucas knows the story better than anyone.
How does JJ Abrams or Disney know Star Wars Story Better than George Lucas? We've waited 30 years to know what Happens AFTER "Return of the Jedi". In the last 30 years we've had writers after writers in comic books, video games and books tell us what happen. Now for the last 2 years we thought were were FINALLY getting what LUCAS the creator thought only to be told, "Nope we made up our own story". Well I ask again, what's different than the EU? It's still not from Lucas.
howard the duck?Keep his ass away from that Howard The Duck reboot, too.
Keep everyone away from a Howard the Duck reboot, thats not a movie to be remade.Keep his ass away from that Howard The Duck reboot, too.
No offense breh but you have no idea what you're talking about.
Lucas had very little to do with what made "Star Wars" what it is. He piggy-backed off the ideas and writing of a handful of other people for the original trilogy. Virtually everything you attribute to Lucas wasn't him. You can easily Google this, it's why the prequels were fukking terrible.
@Monoblock and I had a discussion about this in another thread recently.
Fred.
LOL @ "Very little to do". OK, being that he wrote the script and made the movie. George Lucas had more to do with Star Wars success than Abrams or Disney has. Matter of fact, look at that Teaser, they are piggy backing of what George did anyway, they aren't doing anything new or groundbreaking. I hope the movie is good but rejecting the creator's outlines is no different than Fan Fiction and people making up their own Star Wars stories. If I wanted someone other than Lucas view on the stuff after Jedi I would just read the books.
