The primary reason this republicans and conservatives hate government agencies and so called bureaucrats is because they employ a lot of black people and it is how black people get to move into the middle class and get ahead in society, they have already dismantled affirmative action which has led to less black people getting into colleges and universities, now they want to ensure those who are college graduates and are eligible never have the chance to get employed as well.
They want black people back to the 50s and 60s where they were working the counter, bus drivers, menial jobs and never could challenge them credibly on serious issue, their dream society is one where a white man calls all the shots and still refers to black men as boys.

Are they happy to hurt black folk? Of course. But if you think black folk are their primary target you are sadly mistaken. They are trying to take over the country, balck white or otherwise. They are trying to hurt the countless non-white or black countries that get foreign aide. They are trying to rewire executive power and legislation. They are trying to line their pockets. They are trying to get getback at the WHITE people in power who they felt wronged them. They are puppets to Russian interests. Go to Reddit and read post after post of people losing their job and crying and reports of folk killing themselves. Those are white folk

This is WAY, WAY bigger than just an attack against black folk and it is not helpful at all to reduce it to such

Yeah but White people don't see the problem until after they are the victims. They seemingly never understand that the Nazis killed more White people (English, French, Polish, Russian, etc) than any other group. They never seem to grasp that Southern Confederate soldiers killed a lot of White people (Union soldiers) just like they killed a lot of Black people. Some White people are only crying now, because they just realized that Trump and his band of crooks meant poor White people could get it too. Now I bet all of those criminals charges that Trump faced makes sense to a lot more White people who had previously convinced themselves that prosecutors were just picking on Trump.

If they start making cuts to DoD civilians that’s going to cripple the dynamics at a lot of bases. I know the Air Force specifically has had major retention issues with its active duty members. There are a lot of roles that civilians fill, due to the sheer lack of active duty equivalents. If you remove them, a lot of base services and these squadrons/wings will be reeling.

Yep but that's the point. Break it all up to "cut costs" and then "fix it" with contractors, at a higher cost, of course. And they get richer in the end.

It is self defeating from a business standpoint, because probationary employees are your cheapest employees and they are usually younger and will be there the longest. Even if some left later on, you could replace them with younger new probationary employees.

If real businessmen and accountants were handling the downsizing they would sweeten the retirement pot and push out a high number of long serving middle and upper managers, because they are older employees and higher earners. Older employees cost more in pension and health costs.
