Yall really gotta chill on this haha...

The Brady/Montana comps began somewhere around '04, either right before or right after Brady's third chip. I wanna say it was after the W over Carolina, which was Brady's true coming out party that he was gonna be greater than a game manager...

But even then, the comps to Montana were based around captaining a dynasty at a young age, more than it was about talent. I don't remember anyone feeling like Brady's career or level of play would truly exceed Montana, because we were also watching Manning destroy shyt in real time. The comp was there but it wasn't excessive...

The MaChoke/Brady comp has been excessive from the time Mahomes had his MVP year, validated by nothing other than winning a championship early. Nothing else about MaChoke resembles Brady, not demeanor, not play style, not stature, not calmness under pressure, not the way their championship teams were constructed, nothing...

To this point thru 5 years/4 years as a starter, MaChoke's career more resembles Wilson's or Rodgers' or Favre's, which those are obviously three of the greatest QBs ever, so it ain't a slight...

The young QB who has an on-field presence most resembling Brady is Joe Cool 2.0...

Charles Woodson my favorite player ever. I was 12 watching that game and I cried with Oakland losing...he fumbled that gotdamn ball!

100%. Mahomes is gonna be one of the top dogs of this era for years to come, but the best? Allen played him to a draw last week in his house, Burrow outplayed him last night in his house, at the very least there are two legitimate challengers in the AFC alone...

Agree that watching these dude's careers unfold is gonna tell alot, I don't feel like ultimately MaChoke will end up better than the rest...

Especially if Burrow wins the SB and get the SB MVP

Burrow and Mahomes will both have 1 ring

The Jets game was also amazing because the week before NYJ beat Indy and we had to listen to a bunch of people talk shyt about how Manning choked. Next game, they beat Brady and it was crickets.

Edit- In the Colts/Pats, you are COMPLETELY ignoring that one of the Pats' first half TDs was an INT. Brady and the offense did not score 34. In another post you said Brady scored 21 in the first half, NOPE.
That’s your retort? :deadrose:

What world do y’all live in? The whole point of sports is to be the best. Who watches football with no intent on establishing who separates themselves from the pack?

Football is the ultimate team game. I can’t stand all this basketball talk in football. The damn qb is on the court 1/3 to 1/2 the time, give me a break.

Why watch the game if there’s no legacy talk?
because some of us have teams that actually have current realistic superbowl chances.

Alot of these threads are coming from nikkas who's teams was in draft talks in October or they're in the Marcus Marriota talks. :mjlol:

All this legacy shyt is some new shyt anyway. I'm almost 40 and all these years i've never heard people talk about "legacy" being 1 game here or there. Only on the coli is 1 game considered a legacy. Or talk about legacy after year 5 of a player's career. :dahell: nikkas made "Is mahomes legacy on the line" threads in year 3. :dead:

How about addressing what i said. Why even post this?

You made excuses about the game, saying it was different because Brady's offense scored 21 on the first half (they didn't) and 34 overall (they didn't).

"If i score 34 you're not blaming me for the loss" :camby::camby:

That other dude flat put forgot about that comeback and now people in here talking about "but that was different"

yeah I’m not some brady dikkrider, but I can’t recall him doing anything as bad as those last few drives were.

just weird from Mahomes, even if he just couldn’t get shyt done for one reason or another it would be one thing, but it was like he was going out of his way to make stupid/bad plays.

Steve Young wasn’t talking about “getting the monkey” off his back, way back in the 90s? :usure:

Legacy talk, ring talk, title talk, has always been apart of the game. So what if our teams seasons ended way back when. No one would give a shyt about the teams that made it this far, if we outside fans didn’t have a vested in seeing which QB’s would jump start their legacies. You think we’re watching y’all’s teams just for “the love of the game”? :mjlol:

Just be happy we give a shyt about y’all QB’s legacies, so your small market cities can be kings for the next few weeks.

Legacy talk after year 5? or even worse year 3? Yall took into overdrive with Mahomes. Don't play stupid. There are multiple Mahomes thread specifically bout his legacy on there that are running concurrently. :mjlol: This is new shyt. It's year 5 and people are talking about tarnished legacy for a guy who (as a starter) never finished worse than overtime in the AFCCG. :wow:

We’re questioning the clowns who wanted to catapult this guy over Tom Brady. This is a “not so fast my friend” moment for Mahomes. Not everyone gets a trophy. Some quarterbacks will be remembered as greater than the rest. Mahomes still has plenty of time to make more Super Bowl runs and be regarded as the best to ever do it . But until then, just deal with the backlash. He made some questionable decisions on the field yesterday, and they deserve to be parceled and examined. Why not? :jbhmm:

Everyone can’t win. Everyone can’t avoid critique.

Again, people are talking about legacy in year 5. This is ridiculous is ridiculous standard that yall have put out there. I asked in one of the many Mahomes hate threads...what exactly is the standard we are using? If Brady/Favre/Rodgers are the standards yall are using, then that alone validates him. yall not even comparing him to his own current opponents (I know Rodgers is current but near the end of his career). It's like a weird circle where yall have to validate him just to tear him down. This is some psychotic shyt.

Wait

That's the biggest choke job you've ever seen?
Have you been watching Michigan football at all over the last 30 years?

:skip:

@smitty22
The very same Chiefs franchise with Alex Smith at QB blew a 28 point lead in 2014 to the Colts in the playoffs. But with Mahomes people tryna win Oscar with all this dramatic shyt.

If Brady had Hill and Kelce when he came into the league he might have 10 rings

Also losing doesn’t always mean “choke”

To say Brady choked the Eagles game because of the fumble when he threw for like 500 yards and 5 tds is stupid

Mahomes didn’t just lose the game which happens he had a melt down of epic preportions in the 2nd half

Brady had a defense Mahomes never had though. And a coach that would do ANYTHING to win. Let's not pretend like Brady was the driver of those early Super Bowls
