Sad part is most the people putting Mahomes up in GOAT talks this early aint even a fan of him. They just anti-Brady fans. If Pat start falling off they finna cling to Josh Allen or Joey Brr and say they future GOAT. Same shyt they did with Fraudgers before the truth got too real. Shameless behavior :wow: and now them same nikkas aint ever gon mention Fraudgers again after riding his dikk for a decade :umad:

I'm not trynna hear Brady comparisons from now on until a QB has atleast 4 rings.

For the longest, nobody was trynna hear anybody compared to Montana. People fought tooth and nail to keep Brady below him (even with ring #5) until it was undeniable. The fact he's earned consensus "GOAT QB" in a sea of career haters says everything.

Yet we have fans and media talkin bout Mahomes the best to ever do it :laff::camby:

What world do y’all live in? The whole point of sports is to be the best. Who watches football with no intent on establishing who separates themselves from the pack?

Ring winner each year =/= the best , especially in an interdependent sport like football. What works are you living in, the tennis world! The golf world?

People don't want to admit it but Patrick Mahomes's career is just going to be Brett Favre 2.0 :manny:

QB who wad criticized in college for being reckless

But had generational arm talent and mobility that a fat head coach was able to maximize into a ring and MVP(s) early in their careers

Then they lose the Super Bowl to an old geezer at QB, then after that... still be very good, but in the playoffs will run into teams that can expose their inability/unwillingness to read and disect defenses in favor of playing hero ball :francis:

This. Not to mention...

People have been talking about the best for awhile. People used to clown Elway saying be couldn't win the big one, clown Marino, etc. It's always been a thing.

Everything is synergetic. Even in a sport like football where an offensive player seemingly doesn’t have control over the defense. ToP, clock management, low turnovers, it all works together for both sides of the ball. Tom is one of the greatest to ever do it. And he always had that synergy with his defense. He made things easy for the team.

Damn the similarities in trajectory are striking. Even down to the Holmgram/Reid comparisons. :dead:

Right! It’s always been about rings and legacy talk. It’s the nfl. Everyone who makes it this far is one of the greatest football players on the planet. Ok, now that we made it to this level, who’s the best amongst the best?

Mahomes is the most talented quarterback I have ever seen

Yall really gotta chill on this haha...

Most people would've said never mention Brady and Montana in the same sentence back then :yeshrug:

The Brady/Montana comps began somewhere around '04, either right before or right after Brady's third chip. I wanna say it was after the W over Carolina, which was Brady's true coming out party that he was gonna be greater than a game manager...

But even then, the comps to Montana were based around captaining a dynasty at a young age, more than it was about talent. I don't remember anyone feeling like Brady's career or level of play would truly exceed Montana, because we were also watching Manning destroy shyt in real time. The comp was there but it wasn't excessive...

The MaChoke/Brady comp has been excessive from the time Mahomes had his MVP year, validated by nothing other than winning a championship early. Nothing else about MaChoke resembles Brady, not demeanor, not play style, not stature, not calmness under pressure, not the way their championship teams were constructed, nothing...

To this point thru 5 years/4 years as a starter, MaChoke's career more resembles Wilson's or Rodgers' or Favre's, which those are obviously three of the greatest QBs ever, so it ain't a slight...

The young QB who has an on-field presence most resembling Brady is Joe Cool 2.0...

Charles Woodson my favorite player ever. I was 12 watching that game and I cried with Oakland losing...he fumbled that gotdamn ball!

Its honestly insulting that they tried to start the conversation between TB12 and Mahomes so soon.

The real thing Mahomes needs to worry about is separating himself from his contemporaries, Allen and Burrow. Bc contrary to popular belief, him coming out on top of those 2 is NOT a given.

Whoever wins out in that battle over the course of their careers has a slight chance to try to compare to the GOAT. But not a moment sooner.

100%. Mahomes is gonna be one of the top dogs of this era for years to come, but the best? Allen played him to a draw last week in his house, Burrow outplayed him last night in his house, at the very least there are two legitimate challengers in the AFC alone...

Agree that watching these dude's careers unfold is gonna tell alot, I don't feel like ultimately MaChoke will end up better than the rest...

If Brady had Hill and Kelce when he came into the league he might have 10 rings

Also losing doesn’t always mean “choke”

To say Brady choked the Eagles game because of the fumble when he threw for like 500 yards and 5 tds is stupid

Mahomes didn’t just lose the game which happens he had a melt down of epic preportions in the 2nd half

Getting on Brady's level historically isn't so much about getting equal or to 4 rings, as it is about longevity (consistent dominance over a long period of time), and huge play in big moments. Montana will always be able to be mentioned with Brady because of those two...

A guy is gonna have to win multiple titles but Im hesitant to put a number on it. Super Bowl is 56 years old and only three guys won at least 4, abd NOBODY annywhere thinks Bradshaw is comparable to Brady...

Getting to 4 is a tall, tall order. Add Aikman, and only four QBs have won 3, and Aikman also isn't considered a Top 10 QB...

Manning won two and had a legitimate shot at GOAT for most of his career while only holding 1, so someone could win a minimum of 2 with a resemblance to Manning's regular season dominance and be in the convo. But that will require a prolific output of production for over a decade, consistent winning, and all these dudes are 100 miles away from earning the right to be mentioned with Manning, so we are years from having the convo of any present QB being Top 10 All-Time...

People don't want to admit it but Patrick Mahomes's career is just going to be Brett Favre 2.0 :manny:

And if he ends up with Favre's career he'll end up Top 10 All-Time (Favre is generally viewed in that 5-7 range by most people), so we talking bout a hell of a career if that's ultimately how MaChoke finishes...
