Do you think Microsoft will eventually drop hardware and go 3rd party?

Both consoles are behind but one is guaranteed to pass the other while the other is projected to keep falling behind.
No both x1 and series took around 3 years to make it to 20mil

As for your future estimates, nobody can tell the future :ehh:
Also, being behind the ps4 by a couple million units is something Microsoft would pay billions for
If they wanted to throw away billions to win the console war they could/would.

But they are into making money, not winning online arguments :ehh:

360 was 80mil to 90mil sony.

Still the same story market is around 180mil people. Sony fumbled that gen terribly.

They lost 45 mil buyers, More than half of xbox entire market.
You said that Xbox hasn’t lost many customers starting with the OG Xbox.

You conveniently left out the stat that 360 sold nearly 84 million to Sonys 89 million.

Then you decide state that Xbox hasn’t really lost any customers since the OG Xbox.

Make it make sense sway

“Lost customers to sony”

Please tell me how they’ve “lost customers to sony”

when their first console sold ~15% of what sonys did and their most resent one around 50%

You might say that sony earned some of their customers back. But in reality it’s not xbox that has fallen very far from their highs.

Another point of context that’s lost in these convos is the success of kinect. Before kinect came out 360 had sold less than 50 million consoles. In the 2.5 years after kinect they sold another 35 mil.

Ironically, Kinect, the thing that gets laughed at as a terrible failure, is the thing responsible for 360s impressive sales numbers. Without Kinect 360 would have topped out at around 60-65 mill just like X1.

So microsoft has been in the same range of sales since 360.

The thing that’s changed most is console wars rhetoric on the internet :manny:

In the same timeframe. Sony went from 160mil to 90mil.

So who really lost customers here :usure:
No one is disputing the fact Sony lost customers from ps2 to ps3. That’s one of those made up arguments you like to accuse others of.

We’re disputing that Xbox has had a steady growth since the OG Xbox.

Sony has had steady decline since PS2.

If y’all actually cared about truth an nuance in these convos that would matter.

But of course you are only here to stan sony so that shyt don’t matter.

If we are being honest about the console market itself, it’s been stagnant and in decline for 25 years now. And it’s Sony that has lost the most.
