Because they don't have enough. They are spaced out because there's not enough content... They need content to overlap some so there's no lag.

i said it years ago... X-Men is a gold mine. They are taking too long to get that up and going especially since this phase not hittin..
they got an x-men series coming next year too "x-men 97". I feel like they could overlap if they wanted but they aren''t

Disney plus launched right before the pandemic which kind of put a lot of their content on hiatus. Once they get the ball rolling with all these new marvel and Star Wars shows and cartoons and disney channel reboots like proud family and all those original movies it would be hard to not stay subscribed for most people

Netflix has always been touted as an overvalued company and it moves like a tech stock. Disney has always moved slowly until very recently and they've been higher than they were pre-covid
Disney has more future growth because disney + has the potential to be the next Disneyland for them. we're just seeing the growing pains of the product
Long disney and Long netflix. I think they're both excellent companies for different reasons

Well when they went Disney+ all in ... that made Disney itself a tech stock. Now all investors wanna know is about the service. They are being treated as a company like Apple or Netflix or Amazon.. And those companies always rise to the occasion..

The moment you start missing the numbers as a tech company you are going to be destroyed because tech companies always trade at a premium.

Disney took that challenge and accepted it.. now they are tied to it. They wanted this.

Netflix doesn't produce everything in house. They also buy up content. Some is mid and some is high grade. They spend billions on content every quarter and shareholders are rewarded with Netflix hitting or surpassing their sub projections.

That makes investors continue to ride the train because they've been rewarded time after time.

Thats great for netflix but bad for the audience. When was the last time a netflix show was actually in discussions at the oscars/emmys? They used to put out really high quality dramas that won awards and got people talking.

Now they just throw a bunch of shyt at the wall and see what sticks. Even the most watched and talked about shows on netflix now are talked about as a joke, stuff like clickbait and bird box become meme watches. Even squid game isn’t that high quality of a show its just the first time a lot of westerners are being exposed to murder game shyt, where a lot of them only saw the hunger games before this

i disagree there... it's not the highest of quality compared to other South korea content but it's made very well and has a dope production design so i can see it doing well for awards season depending on whether it's eligible.

They’re never gonna do this. Disney is for CHILDREN. Been that way ever since they came into existence..

You expecting them to release a NARCOS, OZARK type show which is nothing but violence, bad language and chicks gettin fukked?

:laff:
Yes :mjlit:

yeah I agree and a lot of times there's an overreaction to temporary setbacks with them as well
as long as the content is good Disney will always have their audience

I always thought that one marvel or star wars show was not enough to catch up to Netflix
The lack of adult content was always going to hold them back
Netflix floods the streets with stuff and even if you think most of it is trash, they always make up for it with a Squid Game or Midnight Mass
I noticed they just announced a new Predator series or movie for Hulu. Let see if they start pushing Hulu more

they are going to have to diversify their programming and join with Hulu. Their lack of more adult oriented programming and shyt is not helping.

And people are invested into Netflix on some Facebook shyt. It's not going anywhere.

just google Netflix Oscar nominations

"In 2021, Netflix has a total of 36 Oscar nominations, the most of any distributor in this year's slate. Its film "Mank" leads the pack with the most nominations with 10. Since 2013, the streamer has garnered 54 nominations and only 8 wins. Still, Netflix's track record of nominations proves that has a place in Hollywood."

On the TV side, Neflix swept all the Emmy drama categories this year with 'The Crown' and 'Queens Gambit'.
