Except with streaming you can sub when services have shows you want and drop when they don't. There's far less friction there and dropping and coming back to cable.I've been telling people for months now that the end result this situation is going to be cable all over again
I don't think people realize just how expensive it is operating a streaming service compared to putting your content on cable where you can easily use filler to save money. It gets mad expensive having to constantly create new content to justify the cost of streaming services and getting the numbers you need for it to be a success.
It's also why a lot of these streaming services are going to merge when it's all said and done with the end result being cablesque.

I think Disney is waiting until Comcast finally sells their Hulu shares to them before integrating Hulu in Disney plus
Comcast is a bytch though and is still mad about the fox deal so disney would have to wait until 2024 until comcast sells it based off their deal

I pay $5 a month for Plex and it has all the Disney plus content
