some of yall just be talking crazy without understanding how other states operate. CA has one of the better Unemployment systems/benefits. For example, in FL, the unemployment benefit max is $257 a week for a max of 12 weeks, yall got $450 a week for up to 26 weeks. :mjlol::mjlol:

:duck:
COVID economy woes: California unemployment claims rocket higher

California unemployment claims jump again, COVID jobs slump persists

Bay Area mom waits 6 months to get EDD benefits, thousands more in same situation

Wow, you don't know shyt about what's going on here. :snoop:

CA has really low UI benefits compared to the COL - Mass is a high COL state that has it right. No way UI should max out at $450/week in CA while a state like Mass, MN, NJ even Kentucky all have higher max's

Understood, but the same logic applies in FL, there's nothing cheap anymore unless you wanna live close to in the boondocks/swamps. $257 a week for 12 weeks, there's no point in even applying, considering it also takes about a month for your first payment to process and you're maxed out in less than 3 months lol. At least CA benefits extends to 26 weeks.

DICTATOR IS A PRETTY GOOD WORD
I'm confused.

What did Newsome do that created the homeless problem?

How has he been acting like a dictator?

Florida unemployment system troubles keep frustrations high

https://www.winknews.com/2021/10/21/employer-also-faces-unemployment-system-access-issues/

At least CA residents got the extra COVID unemployment boost during the pandemic, FL residents did not lol

Also, yall got a third stimulus from the state correct? $600 right?

So according to the 2019 census less than 6% of California is Black, but we represent how much of the homeless population there...15%, 20%, 25%?

But Maxine Waters worried about black people who voted for Trump as she holds on for dear life only for her district to be replaced by a Hispanic or Asian after she dies

Concern trolling about the homeless in California is so pathetic. If your MAGA friends were so concerned about housing, they would be voting for the Build Back Better plan that gives billions towards public housing across the country.
10 billion, that we already paid in taxes could do the same. But of course, liberal gonna pay crazy taxes locally and still ask the government to fix their states problem. Please go back to where you came from pal. You really don't understand this country.

So I agree that CA hasn't addressed a lot of stuff, we have really poorly maintained infrastructure and schools. But you're gonna have to accept people aint gonna c/s their tax money being spent to fully house and support (even supply drugs to as SF did) the entire homeless population - a segment of whom who have been the reason they are where they are. People wanna see their money spent in ways that help all. A big way to help housed and unhoused people would be using that money to make it much cheaper to build, selling govt land for much cheaper, and reducing property tax - making it cheaper to build makes it cheaper to own/rent and helps alleviate some of the housing crunch that is leading to homelessness for working class folks
According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development it will cost 20 billion to end homelessness in the United States

25 percent of the nations homeless are in California

We have a 30 billion surplus.

Theres no excuse. First we blame the governor now the taxpayers? Not a good look for liberals, at all

BBB bill had earmarked $150 billion on housing initiatives, but none of your MAGA buddies voted for the plan.

You're only bytching about homelessness for political reasons.

You seem to don't understand these people want to be homeless, they want to live in tents

where did they get the tent from, you even ask yourself this question

this bum lifestyle is a choice,

True, but the person I was responding to made a different point. As if "homeless people are destitute and helpless, where would they go"

They are plenty of places they can go so they can't be a drag on society. PLENTY of places
