The problem now is that Trump is trying to take Pence, Giuliani and Barr down with him by telling the House members impeaching Trump to check the phones of Pence, Giuliani and Barr. So he is basically trying to get Pence impeached with him, which means that there will not even be anybody in place pardon his stupid ass before the Democrats retake the White House next year and try to lock him up. This is less murky than the Mueller situation. It's black and white. Trump is caught red handed misusing the office of the President for political gain. It's a cut and dry issue. If the Democrats don't impeach him in the house now then they have failed the American people. It's their duty to get this done.

When people were frustrated that Nancy Pelosi didn't seek impeachment against Trump after the Mueller report was released, she told them to just wait, because Trump was "self impeachable." So she knew that he was unable to stay out of trouble and all that people had to do was just wait for him to get caught again.
