Acting like most black coaches don't get the short end of the stick period?
Acting like that even if he was average he wasn't going to get fired after one season?
Acting like if he improved them over last season but they still failed to make the playoffs he wasn't getting fired?
Acting like he wasn't just a check the box hire in the first place and there wasn't a real plan to keep him for multiple years?
Yes you can be a bad coach and that is just the end of it.
But there can also be clear cases of just overlooking guys, or not giving them a fair shot as well.
I thought it was a bad hire day 1, because the expectations were going to never match the performance. I also have the belief you never want to be the first coach after a legend period. Cause you have even more expectations to surpass.
