Joe Milton showed that he should get a chance to start somewhere. I’m happy for him. Hope they don’t continue to store him on the bench behind Drake Maye for many years

Nah, they NEEDED that #1 pick. They’re talent depleted across the board. If they had the number 1 pick, they could’ve fleeced a QB desperate team like the Giants, Raiders or Browns to trade several picks (including a couple of 1sts) to move up to #1, like the Panthers did a couple of years ago. They would’ve gotten a great head start at rebuilding that roster with a potential haul like that. That’s why today’s win was so devastating. Now they’re picking at 4, and picks 1,2 & 3 are all occupied by those QB needy teams I just mentioned. They have no leverage now. That win set them back 100%.
No one is desperate enough to trade up for the QBs in this draft

Yeah, not surprised, unfortunately. Had a feeling it was coming to this - the noise around him was getting louder the closer we got to season's end.

I don't think this is quite a Ray Rhodes-Green Bay situation, but still...they knew the team was gonna be awful going in, and they were. They knew he was inexperienced and hired him anyway. Why not give him time to grow with a young team, at least for a couple more years?

Makes Kraft look like a fool, too. He'd been saying for years Mayo was Beli's rightful heir apparent and he'd be great, this, that and the third. Now he makes him one-and-done? Hard to take him seriously after this.

I was rooting hard for Mayo and really wanted it to work out up there. I'm sure he'll land on his feet and be better for this whole experience.

You do know they can still trade out of that pick right?

Shedeur & Cam are both gone by pick 4. The Giants at #3, will be selecting either Travis Hunter or Cam/Shedeur most likely. Pick 4 has no one at the moment that will have teams calling the Pats to trade up. They lost a significant amount of leverage with their win today. That matters a hell of a lot to a talent starved team like New England.

The black man always gets the shytty job and has to wear that record no matter what. You don't have to take that shytty job just because it's there. Teams continue to give the new black NFL head coach "tank jobs" or shytty rebuilding jobs. Then they fire them and now they are a fired coach with a bad record as a head coach. And that dude wasn't ready to be a head coach especially following a legend.

Fired that black man with the quickness on the same day of the game. Mind you everyone knew the pats have a terrible roster and were expected to be bad. This the league y’all love dikk riding though :mjpls:

Mayo literally played for the Pats and was an assistant for years but they didn’t hesitate to remind him how black coaches are treated. I would act shocked that some of y’all are in here defending this but the NFL has a spell on a lot of y’all.

Breh couldn't even make it to Black Monday. He was trash though so I can't feel too bad for him.

Nobody is trading a King's ransom for Shedeur or Cam

Also doesn’t help that every time he presses record to talk about sports, Bill Simmons is always talking about how you need to be fired
