No one is desperate enough to trade up for the QBs in this draft

didn't jj mccarthy just get drafted 10th last year?

people say a version of this almost every year when it comes to QBs. and almost every year someone makes a big trade to get their guy, or drafts a QB earlier than expected.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
what happened in Foxboro where you get fired after just one season where you have a rookie QB and a rebuilding roster?

unless something catastrophic happened(Urban Meyer level of dysfunction), you can’t fire a coach after one season, that’s some bullshyt

and they did that like an hour after the game ended?

He was terrible. He wasn’t ready for this spot, he hadn’t even been a coordinator yet.

thats 10th, not first lol.

Yes it would be beneficial to have first for the trade but I don't think they'd get a haul or anything.

Some situations are designed for failure. I’m looking at the predicament my Saints are in as an organization currently too. It’s not a good job for a young coach.

Mayo wasn’t great, but management did breh no favors. Shytty QB, probably the most shytty WR corps in the league, no good running game so to speak, and an iffy defense. They made no moves to acquire anything in free agency either.

That was a situation designed for failure. Bring some inexperienced guy in for a year or two until you can get the guy you really want. I fully expect Kraft to try to go after a Mike Vrabel type guy now and he’ll be given more resources to be successful and on a much longer leash.

Hopefully, Mayo learns and get another opportunity in the future like they give Josh McDaniels and Dennis Allen type guys.

Yea. This is fukked up. But par for the course for a young Black coach. Black coaches are not allowed to make mistakes and grow. The Patriots are a terrible roster and as the years pass by I am becoming more impressed by Tom Brady and Belis run because it's clear that without them the Patriots are just a trailer park organization ran by an old man with an addiction to PAAG Massages.

I have read through all the comments and one thing is VERY clear to me.

90% of the people in this thread did not watch much if any patriots football this season.
I don't think I saw more than 10 highlights of the Patriots all season. I thought dude was a Patsy from day 1. He allowed Kraft to check the box of who would be the first Black coach of the Patriots. He covered the Rooney rule bullshyt. And he was naive enough to really think that all the years he gave to the Patriots organization was going to matter and they weren't going to fukk him over.

Anything short of a playoff run was going to be the end for this dude. And I'm not sure that would've kept him from getting fired if it means keeping Vrabel from going to the Jets. It's always going to be sore subject, and no one especially white people are going to ever see the situations for what they are. Because they will be like hey what about x white coach that was one and done. Even though in most cases it's usually their second job to begin with. But, why point that out.

You also have situations where like Pittsburgh no matter how much Tomlin wins, it's not enough. And you know maybe it's time for a change just in general cause he's been the coach for almost 20 years. But, I can't wait to see the day when they have a white coach and he can't even put together a string of winning seasons like Tomlin.

Dude was not a good coach, and lost the locker room. Stop it.
