If you've been following Richard Reeves you'd know this. Problem is in our society is that if we do something to help men it appears that you're anti woman.

If you read his book 'Of boys to men' and I'm damn near 100% sure you did, your 2nd sentence could only apply to the left/liberal/democratic party.

The right/conservative/republicans want to weaponize and manipulate the men that are failing at life, feeding them with a whole lot of bullshyt with 0 policies or solutions to change their status but keep them failing to keep them votes.

Either way, Richard def wants women to continue their advancement with men being able to adapt too.

With this being said why does no one prepare black boys for the future? @NYC Rebel @ViShawn

What are y'all's thoughts?
I alluded to it a bit - we're seen as privileged because we're male, which is funny because we've been targeted on many levels ranging from educational, corporate, even in our own communities by the police.

We're also a threat to white masculinity too so why help us when our women can be controlled?

A way to solve it? All I think of is mentorship, setting a good example. I recently joined the 100 Black Men Of America chapter near me.

I think I will do the same.

You're absolutely correct. The right is being predatory, but the left touts social progress and social welfare which is why I tend to push on them more.

The right tends to veer towards more rugged individualism and push the idea that no one should have safety nets, do for self, etc.

The solution may be through mentorship and individual organizations man.

Nikkas will naturally turn to HBCU's when Trump is in office and the PWIs get rid of their diversity programs

While he simultaneously threatens to kill the Department Of Education, which funds 80%+ of the loans black people use to attend HBCUs? Good luck.

Incarceration is down. Multiple affordable options for higher education. Multiple openings for trade jobs that don’t require college. Multiple openings for fed jobs that don’t require college. And yet numbers for black men still look bad. I don’t get it. There are opportunities and many of us just aren’t doing anything. Something similar is happening with a lot of young white men…just existing, doing nothing.

I fell like Dr. Thomas Curry talks a bit about this.

Imagine @Peruvian Connect having a single piece of Black literature in his “library” speaking on social, educational & economic conditions facing Black men, only to be arrogant enough to think his “opps watching” commentary has fukking teeth.

Get the fukk off this thread. Who the fukk are you to tell me Im disconnected to young Black men when I have a long investment into the study of a group I come from?

I hate social media. Your dumb ass would get kicked in the face coming with that dumb shyt among Black men with education.

I agree but where is the money/funds going to come from to create and keep these organizations on a local, state and national scale?

How can we foster this as a curriculum and mission in schools, to literally be 'my brothers keeper' from pre-k to adulthood for men (and black men specifically)?
