I'm sure there are functional addicts, but Idk if it's for super hard drugs (crack, heron, etc) or is it for a particularly long time (decades).

I know lawyers are liberal wine and liq consumers and in Corproate America, addy has replaced coke in some sectors, but heron?

The US needs to relook at how it responds to hard drugs but I'm not quite convinced making all drugs legal/decriminalized is the way.

This is more common than u think

If u ever pitched brown or white u would see these professional types all the time, high functioning addicts

Lawyers, doctors, surgeons, engineers etc anything demanding and stressful mentally

Those type of jobs are high stress and break a lot of people down mentally so they have vices to take an edge off

If you work in corporate america u might think ur boss is an uptight conservative but he prolly used to snort or inject work and visit brothels/escorts or have a drinking problem. Most people I’ve met in management positions at every job I knew had an addiction to something

Many attorneys are using Adderall and Modafinil, it's highly prevalent, to the point it's not taboo to talk about it amongst ourselves.

Yea my boy did Corp Law for a white shoe law firm in DC. Said middle of the day people were cracking out the Bordeaux after reading briefs all morning :russ:

Addy and vyvanse were just things people did on the casual. No different that taking a daily multivitamin.

I'm having a real conversation because saying what's going on out here. Just because someone tries to romanticize heroin habits doesn't mean that shyt is fun. He could be lying his ass off for all you know trying to convince himself that hes not an addict. A lot of high functioning addicts do this. A lot of folks revealing a lot about themselves in the comments.

I dont think most of these posters have ever been around fiends for an extended period of time. You'd recognize this fiend language. Breh has gone through withdrawal several times but he thinks shyt is still sweet------ dead give away he's a fiend. The shyt yall see in new jack city, wire, drive or snowfall....that's my childhood. My family. :francis:

A functional addict is nothing more than fiend who can support his habit. His financials and the structure of his occupation keeps him level. Rehabit advisors push addicts into structured schedules for that same reason. Theres a very high chance this brother will OD if he ever retires or is unable to find employment for a while. This guy also has a support structure that the vast majority of addicts do not access to.

And yes, there are an usual amount of cacs in corporate on some shyt but they're terrible at hiding it. Black, white, asian... the ppl who've had similar life experiences to me can spot the functional addicts on the job. When they get let go for undisclosed reasons or retire early, we know why:francis: We can see them nodding off sometimes. And I work in the corp office of a top 5 global bank.

I support the decriminalization of drug offenses and funding scientific research previously banned substances but this aint it. No one should be advocating the use of phsycially addicting hard drugs.

Agreed. Nootropics as well. Modafinil is trash though.

Nootropics like the racetam's don't really work in my experience, I never did Modafinil but jokers tell me it keeps you even keeled rather than gets you up like Addy's.

Try oxiracetam.

Adrafinil is better than modafinil IMO. I don’t really get that euphoria with the latter compared to adderall (like you mention).
