Where It’s Not Safe
This is more common than u think

If u ever pitched brown or white u would see these professional types all the time, high functioning addicts

Lawyers, doctors, surgeons, engineers etc anything demanding and stressful mentally

Those type of jobs are high stress and break a lot of people down mentally so they have vices to take an edge off

If you work in corporate america u might think ur boss is an uptight conservative but he prolly used to snort or inject work and visit brothels/escorts or have a drinking problem. Most people I’ve met in management positions at every job I knew had an addiction to something

You guys sound really immature and probably have never used drugs beyond weed
I’ve done beyond weed before and I’m glad that I don’t do that anymore. It amplifies your feelings and emotions x10 and eventually the more you do, the more you can function on, the more you can do.

at the end of the day, the professor is highly unprofessional for talking about this and he deserves whatever punitive damage comes from this. If I was a parent paying that high ass tuition I would be livid if my child took that class. The fukk is this junky motherfukker teaching you? He needs to teach himself to do better.

A neuropharmacologist studying the effects of hard drugs and their social elements that lead to “addiction” is publishing a book about his own daily usage of hard drugs - as a test case.

He’s teaching them the war on drugs is bullshyt and how we view substances is all from fear mongering :stopitslime:

Looks to me like he’s teaching them how to really see behind the screen and the fronts they’ve been shown.

The man is perfectly functional and in fact a neuroscience professor at an Ivy League college. He’s not some bum junky off the street. He’s saying drugs used in moderation can be beneficial. If that’s not your thing, fine but don’t insult the man for no reason. You don’t know him

Psilobicin (magic mushroom) is being studied as a powerful anti depressant but right now it’s a schedule 1 narcotic and possession is a felony. Does it make sense to put someone in jail for what they put in their body to feel better?

It’s my personal opinion that I do not think a person who is addicted to any hard substance(coke, crack heroin) should be teaching and influencing young minds. If he thinks it’s ok, then he condones his students doing it too? That’s a slippery slope (condoning the use of hard drugs) that I don’t think our society should go down. It’s bad enough with alcohol and pills already

I know that it's jokes, but....Brehs in here calling him a "basehead" and other offensive terms, but this is a VERY respectable and admirable brother. As long as he doesn't let his vices ruin his life, who are we to judge such an accomplished Black Man?
:yeshrug:

:pachaha:
This nikka here got dreads, a gold tooth, snorts heroin and has fingernails like a werewolf. I mean if offered that description alone to a person they would say it was a pimp or a crackhead.

Does he have a gold tooth too? :dahell:

:russ:

AJ James, a well respected Black Navy Seal, has two gold teeth in the front of his mouth and a nappy fro. He's super intelligent, a fukking beast and amongst the most elite killers on the planet.

You can already see how impressionable and naive these double digit IQ coli-nikkas are. That nikka is a functional junkie. Most junkies, unless they've hit rock bottom, tend to under report their usage - especially when they're trying to maintain respectability.

Is the navy seal athlete on drugs? Hell no.

I’m not saying the professor is a bad dude. But if he is so lax with his illegal drug usage and giving HR evidence of how it affects his work, don’t you see that violating policies?

He needs to get himself together and do better. I have taught everywhere from high school to universities and I think it’s bad enough when professors do what they do behind closed doors.

What do I look like telling young kids that cocaine is cool? It’s bad enough that some of them will inevitably try it but do I need to be another one of those voices condoning it?

as an educator, you have a responsibility. As a black male professor, that responsibility is critical because he might be the highest ranking black person in his department. Even though we know he doesn’t represent us, to a whole bunch of white people who see us as a monolith, he does. And what he’s doing makes him a liability. If you want to go do heroin, go work in a place where you can do that and not fukk up nobody else.

Yeah, I admit that going around and saying "I do a little heroin, so what?" is not necessarily a great look. BUT this dude is a fukking Phd Neuroscientist and his work focuses on drug use. I don't think that it's wise to go around announcing your use of illegal drugs, but if it isn't affecting his work or infringing on anyone else, who gives a fukk? This man clearly has his shyt together, so he can do whatever the fukk he wants. There's countless cacs in Hollywood, Wall Street, Law, Medicine, Education, sports etc. that abuse drugs on the regular. Some let it ruin them, and some function without a problem. So, why are brehs in here talking down on this man? I'd bet that most of these posters have at least one legit loser crackhead drug addict and/or bum ass boozing alcoholic in their families.

It isn't like he's saying "Hey kids, you all should go out and snort some heroin just like I do. It's good for you! Get as high as you possibly can, children!"
