Watch the video man. There are LGBTQ couples in there that said that they feared for their life living in certain neighborhoods.

I know people who are disabled who shoot because they aren't able bodied to defend themselves in the event of an altercation.

Maybe YOU don't need a gun and you have some fear of them but your fear shouldn't be the deciding factor in how people should defend themselves. I wouldn't want your opinions be the deciding factor on why a woman should or shouldn't own a gun

I've spent time, money and energy for my cause. The guy who instructed and gave me my gun license was a gay Black guy and I've been on his radio show several times talking about the importance of Black gun ownership.

Listen i share some issue with your side of the debate too.
Despite what i just said about ar15's. I still feel like the they aren't as practical as owning a simple handgun. I have a pistol in the nightstand and a rifle in a safe. if something happens i would go for the pistol just because it's more convenient. Nobody outside of soldiers and cops are carrying a rifle everywhere they go and how much use do you really get out of a gun you don't have on your immediate person?
all the arguments for the rifle being better aside, how likely are you to actually ever use it? most pro 2 amendment people are just hobbyists trying to protect their toys and collections. but walk aorund protecting themselves out in the world and at home 99% of time with a EDC subcompact pistol with under 15 rounds. and putting public welfare at risk over a hobby is shameful. a 30 round capacity ban would likely change nothing in a that person's day to day lifestyle

but not everybodies needs are the same. If i live in bear country, or if i live in the city a different weapon might be more practical than another. plus the whole idea of the second amendment isn't just about protecting yourself from a car jacking or a home break in. My rifle is locked away and will probably never be used unless some real shtf stuff happens where i need to take up arms for my community. like a rosewood type deal.
