You've been here 8 years. Just show me one time, ever, before Bernie's June 2nd letter that you argued for more radical reformation of the police than Bernie did. So I know you're not a Hillary-stan centrist democrat cosplaying as a militant all of the sudden, please show me one time, ever, that you argued for bigger changes before this month.
Second, show me one time, EVER, where you criticized one of the centrist dems for their police proposals, none of which have ever gone nearly as far as Bernie did. When Clinton called for more training for cops, show me where you said ONE word against her for it.

Bernie is offering a starting place, right now, for police reform. It is more radical than anything you or your favored candidates had ever suggested. Yet you're suddenly pretending that you're further to the left on police reform than he is, despite having NEVER offered a framework for police reform more radical than that 8-point plan right there.

I can see how that can seem off base but if he's talking about the professionalization of police that's probably not a bad thing. I agree you probably wouldn't want to lead with that, especially considering that many cops make very good money.

I have and I've shared threads stating as much. I'm not sure why you're dragging this out.
The Dems are also responsible for the lack of police reform but in my life Obama and the Dems probably created one of the largest positive changes with the Fair Sentencing Act of 2010 that also directly impacted my life.
I'm not some diehard Clinton fan either I wanted her to defeat Trump. You're trying to conflate something that isn't really there. I can understand how that can be lost in the sour grapes of Bernie choking twice.
I've always advocated for demilitarizing the police and holding them accountable through different measures.
You're clearly taking it personally that I don't think Bernie's response is up to snuff from someone of his reputed caliber.

I don't have anything against police. I believe in police reform. I think the police force should reflect the population of the community. For example in east LA, I'd say half of the police are hispanic (for linguistic reasons but still). I think it makes sense that way, same goes for teachers. I think it makes 'some citizens' feel more comfortable. When south central has like 90% white police from the burbs, I can understand why they're scared (unfamiliar with area, people, culture). and why the citizens are stand offish too. Imagine if Beverly Hills had 90% big ass stone cold looking black cops patrolling their neighborhood, how would that feel. Think about it. Actually I did and I bet Karen wouldnt call the cops. now you know why black people dont call the police.
