This one here is my favorite.. I call this one the Oklahoma lottery... Females either trying to get soldiers to marry them or trap them with children.. I live near Ft. Sill and these women/females... as young as 13-14 years old, try to get them a soldier.

If she has a kid you don't think she deserves chid support?
So if a grown ass man gets "trapped" and during his marriage he(they) decide she doesn't have to work.

If she gets custody of the kid you don't think she deserves child support
ALIMONY not even paid out in most cases
I think 6 months for alimony is about right, and can be extended if BOTH parties agree to it. I don't think u should have to pay alimony for longer than that unless circumstances are dire.

Isn't it the woman's fault if she doesn't work? She can choose whether she wants to work, and if her husband forbids it, she can choose to not marry him. Her not working really shouldn't entitle her to extra money after it ends if there was something that she could do about it.

Her not working allows the man to make more than before, this is why she gets alimony to help her transition to getting a job.
If your wife stayed at home and took care of all the daily things and raised kids you should be able to make more money in your career while all of that is being taken of.

I've probably disagreed with 98% of @CrimsonTider 's SOHH/the-coli posts, but, I'm with him, on this.
Most of these divorce horror stories come from the news of those in the 1%.
He makes a good point; you makin' 32k a year, no one livin' off your 1,300 a month. Maybe, a "hoodrat stuck in section 8 housing," but, why are you associated with such women, let alone fornicating (didn't mean to use this term in a judgmental fashion, but let's call a orange an orange, here) with them?
Marriage is a serious issue and I understand it won't be easy to find a woman that's down for you. But, the true challenge is for me (us
