I don’t even know what an Ohio or Kentucky accent is no offense. And do dudes from the entire West coast sound like LA cats?
West Coast accents are all more similar than not IMO. But I’ve heard often that people think Bay Area folks sound countrier.
:yeshrug:

To me, the biggest difference in Cali accents are generational. I think the more demographics change and Black folks leave or spread out the more watered down the accents get.

Still have my thick southern accent, and it gets thicker the more liquor that’s in my system :mjlit:

Side note: a pet peeve of mine was hearing radio personalities in certain cities sounding like visitors. If I’m in ATL, I want the radio personality to sound like he’s from ATL. I used to hate here in NC on 102, all the personalities except B Daht, sounded like they were from NY
I’m from south ga and we still talk with a southern slur. And you right, once that yac gets in me it becomes more pronounced. Also if you rock fronts it’s more pronounced.

But even in Atlanta they talk a lil different than Nikkas in south Ga:manny:so hey

Nova Scotian Settlers - Wikipedia

I think these geechie brehs might still have one of the prototype AA accents.

I had a class with a breh from low country and he definitely had a unique type of accent, (no :dame:) but when I actually touched down in Charleston, that shyt tripped me out. They got a totally different vernacular down there lol. Totally different vibe down there period.
