One reason why you never see real African players (not European born and raised Africans) on a superstar level is that a lot of times when they move to Europe to begin their pro careers the coaches try to stifle their skill and talent by playing them in positions they are not used to.

For example if you are a big, skillful African with great technical skills, as soon as you move to Europe you will have coaches playing you as a defender or a defensive midfielder positions were you can't express you natural skills. This is what happened to Yaya Toure when he moved to Barcelona and Obi Mikel after he moved to Chelsea.

As long as Messi and Ronaldo are playing it is going to be favored to them so it sucks for many players on the shortlist over the last decade

Yup. so many great players overlooked because of race, and country of origin.
We still need AA's in the game so the Black world can compete with each other.
One thing I like is how Infantino has restructured the world cup. From 32 teams, 16 would be from Europe traditionally. Now theres an equal number from each continent.

Neymar is a black Brazilian. Don't let his hairstyles fool you into thinking otherwise

When they see France win the world cup this coming summer and notice its basically Black Excellence FC :wow: lol
K.S.K Berveren of Belgium gotta be black excellence FC. All the notable Ivory Coast players of the 2000-2010s went through there. The Toure bros, Eboue, Yapi Yapo and more. In 2003 they broke a record for fielding 11 players from Ivory Coast at the same time. Shame they lost their licence and are in the 3rd division or sumtin these days.

Yeah no offense but you have no idea what ur talking about. Yaya cant be an attacking player, he isnt good enough in terms of movement and he isnt a natural goal scorer. Jon obi mikel is an extremely limited player with almost no technique but he is a good enougj destroyer.

:usure: You gonna try to shyt on dude, then ignore the fact that Yaya's role transformed with City? Look at the difference in his goal-scoring rate with Barca and after he left. There is truth to what he said.

Messi and Ronaldo pushed the bar for consistency so high that people have underrated other positions. After them it's definitely Neymar because of his performances for Brazil as well raising his performance for Barca like against PSG. After Messi and Ronaldo are done it will go back to the old days, there has ever been a longer period of dominance by 2 players like them. I have seen stats like they have collectively averaged like a goal a game since Ronaldo moved to la liga in 2010 and that is like 700 or so goals between them.
Neymar will win Ballon D'or after PSG wins CL and Brazil wins the World Cup :manny:

It's only on Nigeria's national teams, Mikel has a semblance of a chance to play his natural position
