Dems mistake was allowing the Republicans to frame the issue. Dems should have shown empathy to migrants instead of trying to out conservative the Republican Party on the issue. The same empathy they should have shown to Palestine.

They should have given the country a real choice. When Republicans appeal to people’s worst instincts, they should have done the opposite. Instead they chose to be diet Republicans.
It's disturbing how bad Democrats are at messaging and playing politics. Always playing defense because they can't envision Republicans would hit below the belt.

And the dumbest strategy of all was attempting to court Liz Cheney type Republicans. While ignoring your own base until it was too late. Those political consultants they use have basically destroyed the party.

No, it's not. You see what you want to see. I frequent conservative platforms and liberal platforms.

Only on the liberal platforms were people saying "I'm not supporting genocide. I'm not convinced by Kamala. I'm voting third-party". You had tons and tons and tons of young "Progressives" on YouTube and TikTok giving those sentiments. People that are supposed to be allies.

Now compare that to the Racist, Far Right, Red Pill, MAGA White Boys. How many of them were saying don't vote for Trump.

NONE. THEY ALL VOTED FOR TRUMP.

Fukk Progressives. Worthless group of people.
you dont seem to know the difference between liberals and progressives in the first place. from furthest left to right it goes tankie/communist, progressive, "liberal", centrist/moderate, "libertarian," conservative, fascist

liberals were not upset about the deaths of palestinian children. they backed joe completely, and they support zionism. progressives do not and its caused a lot of infighting

most progressives actually voted for harris but yes there were some terminally online ones who threw a fit over gaza and refused to vote

while there is good evidence coming out about election fukkery, i think young men voted in trump. younger men are becoming much more conservative these days due to internet influence

we had ballots coming out of NYC where people were voting for AOC for house and Trump for president. people are fukkin DUMB in this country :snoop:

How dare they criticize the Democrat party.....must be MAGA agents, the whole lot of them :troll:
Well difference is, they still supported the democratic party against trump.

Dont equate that with c00ns, who #bothsided during the campaign and didnt vote, and ran interference and encouraged others not to also.

Not the same. Feel free to provide a retort though...there isnt one lol

Well throw them a freaking bone to shut then up. The reason they complain so much is DNC leadership gatekeeping all the damn time.

How many of these splinter political groups used to be solid Democrat voters at one point? That's basically the job of a politicians to build consensus. Now nobody in the party is happy because leadership has alienated everyone.

Im pretty progressive myself

However, you know whats funny? I get that avoiding a trump election at all costs was necessary and acted accordingly. So...whats up with the people who dont seem to get that?

They dont seem like allies that really see it as an "all costs" sort of thing. And when I debate them...they always lose. So its not like they have a concrete stance that is superior.

They are just these..lesser humans that never really understood the gravity of the situation in the first place. Dems didnt need to do some extra appeasing for me to understand what was going on. Why didnt they?

Voters have been punishing the incumbent party at the voting booth for a decade now. This appeal to a greater good no longer works and hasn't in years. You either adjust accordingly as a Political party or get your ass handed to you.

If the Obama coalition hadn't took their eyes off the ball when they had all this grass root support we wouldn't even be here. No way Trump wins if they don't let apathy set in from voters. Now people see all the Democrat talk of change is just that. They didn't want to rock the boat too much and change the status quo. Well Trump doesn't care and is giving his base what they want. If Democrats even did half that much they would never lose another Election.

On your last point, that's why FDR was as popular. Think of what Trump is doing but the opposite way. During a Depression.

After 2012 we mostly thought there was no way the Republicans would win another general election. To fumble that momentum it definitely needs to be studied.

There was a video about it but I can't find it now. But the Democrats had a perfect opportunity but squandered it. They could've forced through so many changes like Trump is doing now. And voters would've backed them. But all we got was Wall Street bailouts and watered down healthcare plan.

We got a "better" status quo. Still makes me livid thinking about it.
