The only thing is the TV suffers from massive judder looking at the YT review, but I'm guessing that's something you have to live with to get OLED piff at such a low cost. Also, I'm weary at such a good price. It's probably a white box - refurb like the fakkits at buysquad.com do.

After this thread and reading a shyt ton on rtings/avs forums ... I think I'm gonna cop a 2014 - 1080p TV set before they sellout. It might be the last year 1080p sets got the best panels.

It looks like the big names have basically put all the good panels into 4k sets and 1080p sets moving forward won't really be that great. This actually is gonna be really bad for the next couple of years if this trend continues with 4k sources like 4-8 years out.

In the 55" range ...

The 2014 Sony 800B series got higher ratings on rtings.com and has a lower input lag time than the 2015 Sony 800C.

Same thing with the 2014 Samsung H6350 vs. 2015 Samsung J6300, plus they moved to Tizen for the "Smart" features :scust:

There's a huge difference in PQ when you watch movies and shows. That alone is worth it imo. Gaming aspect wise, as long as the defects are not noticeable I wouldn't care.

:stopitslime: 1080p & 720p content should look worse on a 4K TV, because the image is being blown-up to 4K.

I don't even want to imagine what SD content looks like on a 4K TV.

4k TV's is just too far out there, as nothing really supports it yet, it doesn't even have a dedicated storage media. 4K needs at least 10 years in the oven before it's cooked and ready to be served, but thanks for taste testing anyway OP.
