I'm surprised they still was producing plasma flat screens the way technology keeps evolving. I remember seeing a 70 inch flat screen on sale for like $400. I was like :gladbron: I read the print that shyt said plasma I was like :scust::camby:
Nah plasma's hands down had the best pic quality u can get in a TV up until their demise. shyt even up to last year Samsung's best TV they had was a plasma F8500..before that the Panasonic's had it lock. I said there was no use in mentioning them anymore cause u can't get em anymore..not cause they wack.

What is ghosting like an afterimage or something if the game your playing isn't made for a 4k output why would you play it on a 4k monitor unless you tried to see what its like?!? Full 1080p HD not good enough???
:heh:

1080p still hasn't become the standard for cable programming and ALL video games. so how are we gonna jump into 4K when we can't even get 1080p in abundance yet?

I got a samsung plasma in my bedroom. I paid like $400 when I got it, so I don't care. I only sleep up there and don't watch too much tv in my bedroom anyways, so I don't care.

Nothin wrong wit keepin ur TV if it's doin the job well. Like I would never get rid of a Panasonic VT or ZT. And as far as 1080p LED I would never get rid of a Sony w900a.

I wish LG would would drop a sub $2000 1080p OLED TV just to get the market moving.

I think a $1500-$1800 45-48" OLED 1080p would at least get casual people to take a look from the ~$1,000 pricepoint 4k TV junkboxes that are out there.

1080p upscaled to 4k on crap panel/upscaler next to a 1080p on a native resolution 1080p OLED panel would be a blowout in the OLED's favor.

But having the starting pricepoint at $2,500 makes it a non-starter for most no matter how much you tell them the picture quality is untouchable from other panel technologies.

A 40 inch 1080p TV from 6 feet away your eye shouldn't be able to discern pixels.

80 inch from 6 ft away at 4k you wouldn't be able to discern any pixels.

Basically at a certain point anymore advancement is not needed. My TV is 40'' 1080p and im about 7-8 feet away. 4k would only make sense for my setup if I significantly increase my TV size (which I might) however almost no content natively supports 4k right now. I'll wait for other tech to catch up(American internet speeds, blu rays, gaming rigs) and prices to come down.

Going past 4k for most people's set ups and viewing distances is virtually pointless though.
