Yea my next joint is gonna be an OLED.. Been waiting for consumer based OLED for years for some good ones what won't break my pockets. OLED has all the advantages of Plasma's and LEDs without the disadvantages.

I have a 70" LED, but I'm copping a 55" OLED next month might have to throw the big set in the bushes :ahh:

Damn. Goin from 70 to 55". U gonna def notice that size difference bro. I would save up some more and atleast grab up a 60.

Breh, my 70" died and was out of commission for about a month. I was watching on 32" set during that time :mjcry:

People get very defensive about their purchases breh.

4K is absolutely pointless right now especially when you consider that almost everyone on this forum either plays on the PS4, XBOX One, or the Wii U and THEN on the PC. Then to experience true 4K glory in PC gaming you are looking at a HEAVY price tag to do it.

I will invest in a 4K TV in MAYBE 2017 depending on how nVidia and AMD handle it going forward. 1080P or 1440P is just fine as long as you have nice sets, all this pixel pushing BS has to come to an end anyway...we are seeing a point of diminishing returns unless everyone is looking to buy 100" TVs down the line.

Does amd or nvidia have a hdmi 2.0 compliant video card yet?

:wtf:

Yep!... but I looked up some info and LG's 1080p OLED TVs have better image quality than base 4K/UHD TVs... so instead of wasting 20k+, just use 1080p OLED TVs until the 4K OLEDs price drops...

basically; from best quality to HD quality:

2160p/(4k/UHD) OLED

1080p/(HD) OLED <----- Best, most attainable TV now...

2160p/(4k/UHD) LED

1080p(HD) LED

I agree but resolution isn't the only factor...a $2k 4k led isn't the same quality as a $10k 4k from the same manufacturer and top of the line plasmas definitely bang with the top of the line led's
