Not the same situation. But me & my fam was going through some things late 2022. I personally felt hopeless, and helpless. Things got worse before they got better for us. It's 2024 and things has gotten better since then. Not great but compared to what we went through before, we're managing. In 2022/2023 I didn't think I'd ever get back to the point where things felt even somewhat normal again.
The point is. Things can improve, and get better even in the toughest times when you feel like it isn't a possibility. I'm a pray, and manifest you make your brother's wedding, and live your life problem free beyond that, bro.

Just as an anecdote, about 12 years ago now, doctors basically told my mom to make plans for my dad’s transition cause his lungs were that far gone. Lifetime smoker and drinker who already had heart failure and diabetes.I don't fukk with AA shyt. I never have.
I started coughing up blood like 3 months ago, and then I was like, if I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die going out drinking. It's been a downward spiral since then. My lungs are fukked... It is what it is.
Today, he’s still with us.
Ironically as i type this post he’s in the hospital right now after being rushed to the emergency last night because his heart/lungs are having trouble maintaining each other.
We fully expect my dad to come home soon and keep kicking until he’s ready to go, because he’s done it so many times before.

) from time to time as well. I was drinking to the point I did it for the comfort of the bottle, didn't even get drunk anymore. I was drinking some of the most disgusting liquid on Earth just for the "comfort" holding that bottle brought me. I was at the fork in the road and went straight*.
