My mom died out of nowhere too. Like she wasn't even sick. She literally hit her head and fell into a coma. Even when she was in ICU, we couldn't even talk. Love your mom man. Foreal. You only get one. Take her out for lunch or something every now and then. Things that I wish I could do man. Nothing like a hug from mom dukes when you're having a fukked up day.

My mother and I are so close right now, and she's 72. I really can't imagine being parentless.

I've been communicating with my pops every day since he passed 15 years ago. It helps and you can feel it. I feel my pops presence, call me crazy but I know he's still protecting me. You should try it if you haven't already.

Just can't imagine losing my mum, she is old now too...But I lost my best buddy a few years back via suicide. Never got over it..I know how you feel..Sometimes I just look into the distance and think about him, and it hurts bro

It's crazy man. It really is. I lost people my whole life, but didn't know true pain until my mom died. I lost a lot friends to gun violence growing up.
Especially this one

Close friend of mine, like a sister. Got shot in 2010, from going to get her sister from the block at 1AM. We both went to New Dorp High School, and she was graduating the year she got shot. Accepted to Syracuse, ended up not going because she didn't make it. Killed by some nikka who was tryna get at her little underaged sister. Last time we spoke was a day before she died, and we were supposed to meet up at Dunkin Donuts, didnt happen.

But, mom was different. It's a totally different sting. I think about my mom everyday. I spent the first few months calling her cellphone voicemail just to hear her voice. All I can say is that, you should love her hard while she's here. It's truly a blessing to have your loved ones around. Truly.
