BREAKING. Vice President Harris just unveiled her economic policy agenda, which includes:

* Eliminating medical debt for millions of Americans
* A ban on price gouging for groceries and food
* A cap on prescription drug costs
* A $25,000 subsidy for first-time homebuyers
* A Child Tax Credit that would provide $6,000 per child to families for the first year of a baby's life

Hopefully she adopts Biden policies on student loan forgiveness or even better actually pushes for college cost reform.

I’ve had this idea that maybe they (govt) should help push ppl into trades. Specifically trades that would help build and maintain housing.

I feel like this would kill two birds with one stone.

1.) lessen demand for higher edu. which could cause its value to lessen or stagnant even more.

2.) help with the push to build more homes

No empathy for Trump but NGL this sounds crazy AF:

He's probably spiraling and too machismo to see a therapist, while he is basically the living reincarnation of that Chappelle joke about Kobe playing for his life when he was in court on rape charges. Every slip in the polls is a realization that he's gonna likely go to jail and he doesn't have the emotional intellgience to tackle that in a real way. Couple that with the realization that he came inches from death and likely doesn't have the emotional intelligence to deal with that either and it's a recipe for disaster.

Wouldn't be completely surprised if he dropped dead before the election. It seems like the route that would lead to the largest amount of conspiracies, which is the American way
It’s what Robert Evans said a few weeks back. Dude legit has PTSD but is too much of a narcissist, psycho to admit it. He could have won of the presidency off showing natural emotion of someone who almost had their head blown off on TV, but instead he shut down that ability. He is clearly feeling some effects from almost being assassinated by these insane public gatherings but can’t do anything.

Landlords that jack up prices, have been getting (violent) pushback the last few years. Landlords in Chicago been getting dismembered, landlords in Texas been shot and murdered in cold blood, and landlords in NY been getting locked up and getting beaten half to death in Rikers Island.

High prices = higher risk of violence.
:mjtf: Man you done crept into this sub forum too? Stick to TLR breh. We don’t need your psychopathic fantasies in here

The only realistic fix is some type of cost share model between the student and the government. For example, once 25% of principal is paid off the government pays off the remaining 75%. All this stuff has to be paid for tho

GROCERIES AND FOOD
  • First-ever federal ban on corporate price gouging on food and groceries
  • Set clear rules so that corporations can't unfairly exploit consumers with pricing to run up excessive corporate profits
  • Empower the FTC and state attorney generals to investigate corporations for violating the rules
  • Aggressively regulate mergers and proposed consolidation among food producers and grocers
HEALTHCARE
  • Expand the $35 insulin cap for Medicare to all Americans, not just the elderly ones
  • Cap all Americans annual out of pocket prescription drug spending at $2,000/year
  • Ramp up Medicare negotiations with drug companies over their most expensive drugs
  • Regulate pharmaceutical companies that block competitive and abusive practices by middlemen
  • Cancel medical debt for millions of Americans
TAX CUTS
  • Extend Inflation Reduction Act subsidies and lower premiums for ACA
  • Expand Earned Income Tax Credit by up to $1,500
  • Restore the $3,000 per child tax credit from the Inflation Reduction Act
  • Expand the Child Tax Credit so that even the poorest of families receive it (currently families need to make a high enough annual income to receive it)
  • Increase the Child Tax Credit to $6,000 per child for first year newborns
HOUSING
  • $25,000 down payment assistance for first time homebuyers who have paid rent on time for at least two years
  • Tax credit incentives for home builders who build starter homes sold to first time homebuyers
  • Build 3 million homes
  • $40B to local state governments for building housing
  • Pass the Stop Predatory Investing Act, legislation that would prohibit investors who acquire 50 or more new single-family rental homes from deducting interest or depreciation on the properties.
  • Pass the Preventing the Algorithmic Facilitation of Rental Housing Cartels Act, legislation that cracks down on companies that allow landlords to collude to set high housing prices via software and price-setting algorithms.

Almost seems like someone worth voting against and who has no business being President. Almost!

Crazy!
