For your scenario to work, Biden would have had to step down last year making him a one term lame duck president. All in hopes that Whitmer/Newsom catch on with the public and don’t have skeletons in their closets.

Yeah if this was 2022 and we didn’t have an incumbent president and vice president, then they would have plenty of time to run and be vetted during the primaries. But the suggestions that have been made to replace Biden and bypass Kamala just as the general election is kicking off is beyond reckless and stupid.

If Trump dropped, DeSantis would still be banning abortion, signing in strict immigration policies that made them leave, still watching Insurance companies leave his state in drove because of climate change, still be going after the gays/transfolk... and still be gay, and socially inept as well.

DeSantis is a politician to MAGA, he is a false god in comparison to Trump.
