They want an open convention because they don’t believe in Kamala. But realistically, I think she would win at the convention anyway - unless those Pelosi trying to push Newsome behind the scenes rumors are true.

Yeah but we are getting to the point where we are getting to the cutoff to have Biden/Harris taken off the ticket, because we know they don't want Kamala to run. So Johnson will use his influence to block states from putting a new name on the ballot and preventing a name being put on for Democrats.

He simply has no legal authority to do that, whether they want Kamala to run or not.

Nah. It's not about policy at all, just sheer lack of faith in the ability of Biden or Kamala to beat Trump. It's basically a three-way battle between -

1. People who think Biden can still win
2. People who don't think Biden can win, but think maybe Kamala can win
3. People who don't think Biden or Kamala can win, and want someone else
