99/100 is a fraction. Are you saying half? 2/3?An artist selling a fraction of what they previously sold especially if there isn't much of a gap between albums.

what is the basis for this? The singles from Da Real World outperformed the singles from Supa Dupa Fly.
what is the basis for this?
obviously putting aside Hot Boys as the whole argument is whether the album was flopping in 99 before this single picked up steam.
Why?It's already absurd to call an album a flop when an album is still being promoted with videos and singles.
Were you cognizant in 97-99? If so, was it your impression at the time that She’s a bytch was bigger than The Rain?1) "The Rain" was single that didn't chart, but "She's A.." did.

The Rain actually peaked at #4 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart.I remember both songs being on the radio and receiving about the same amount of play. I remember the "She's A" video being huge and this was on The Box and BET.
Not on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart.3) "All N My Grill" peaked higher than both "The Rain" and "Beep Me 911".

The Rain actually peaked at #4 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart.
She’s A bytch peaked at #30 on the same chart.
The charts comport with my recollection that The Rain was a much bigger song and She’s a bytch flopped.
