1999 was loaded in regard to singles. There's a few on other lists I wished I included on mine. This was another one from 1999 that is classic:

LOL. You actually think posters saying Dre backed out of producing Mack 10's Bang or Ball because he feared being outshined by Mannie qualified as "reporting". That's what I was referring to.

i wasn't citing posters.

I recall reading it in articles.

Breh, Dre would never go on record saying he was backing out of producing an album because he was afraid of being outshined. Dude has had credits on albums with an all star cast of producers.

so basically, youre arguing about something I never said.

I never said Dre went on record as to why he backed out.

I simply said that he backed out. he was supposed to produce half of mack 10's cash money album.

You said more than he backed out. He was never producing half of Mack 10's CMR album. It wouldn't even have made sense for Mack 10 to get that much input from Dre without being signed to Dre. Not even Snoop had that much production from Dre during that era.

Dope singles came out in 99, but I gotta go with Quiet Storm. It's a perfect rap song + it officially had the best rhyme of the year

1999 is tough. A lot of Amazing singles that year. I would say at least for me:

1. Nas - Nas is Like
2. Mos Def - Mrs Fat Booty
3.Mobb Deep - Quiet Storm Remix
4. Missy Elliot - Hot Boyz
5. Juvenile - Back that Azz up
6. BG - Bling Bling
7. Jay-Z Jigga
8. DMX Slippin
9. Slick Rick - Street Talkin
10. Dr. Dre - Still D.R.E.
