On YouTube there is a snippet of a unreleased Backstreet Boys and Foxy Brown collab from 1999 MTV Chyna Doll album release interview
It's Kinda good.

lol. I thought you were bullchittin.

im glad this never came out.

foxy would've turned into lil kim if this blew up.

backstreet boys could've used that edge tho. im guessing this is before NSync began to crush their buildings. otherwise, backstreet's label wouldn't have been so :mjpls:
they would've made sure this dropped and prolly would've filmed a video.
EDIT: assuming NSync was on a different label. I know they both had that same faq manager.

Good, hope she stays in the way. Matter of fact, you're proving why she deserves to be in the power rankings. If she was "in the way", she was doing something right.

being 'in the way' doesn't necessarily mean that youre a factor.

sorta like how shes constantly being honored at the so-called hip-hop honors because her manager is mona scott.

Props. Shows you can be objective. You don't like her, but even you admit she was impactful in 1999.

how was she impactful in '99??

i'd say she was impactful in '97, '01 & '03.
even then, I doubt I would put her in the top 10. but she at least did something of note in those years.

keep in mind, im one of the most objective posters on this site.

You're not being objective and you're far from being one of the most objective poster on this site. Objectivity is exhibited in @NO-BadAzz post. Even though he admittedly hated an artist, he was able to prop said artist. That is the essence of being objective. You saying "I didn't like this, therefore it doesn't make my list" is the opposite of being objective because you aren't putting your personal tastes aside. Missy in 1999 was appearing on albums by Nore. She had a guest spot on Biggie's Born Again. Her own song "Hot Boyz" was the biggest song of every artist featured on it at that point.

What's funny is that multiple posters are putting Missy on this list and mentioning her in your other thread and you're whining about why she's being mentioned.

I never heard missy's album so of course im not gonna put her on this list.
it has nothing to do with me being subjective or objective.

I saw 3 people mention her album out of like 50 lists. LOL.

as for the power rankings list, why would I put her on the list when she flopped in '99, which multiple posters have just told you.
I asked you how she was impactful in '99, and you give me a song that moreso blew in 2000, and a bunch of guest spots that nobody cared about or remembers.

Wasn’t Hot Boyz a remix that dropped in 2000?

It still didn't stop you from forming an opinion though.

Missy wasn't just on lists. People were actually questioning her omission.

Multiple posters didn't say the album flopped just you and @mobbinfms, both admitted Missy haters :russ:.

"Hot Boyz" blew up in 1999 and peaked in January of 2000.

the album flopped in '99 and was saved in 2000.

the one or two posters who questioned her omission, either weren't aware or forgot that it flopped in '99. they then fell back afterwards.

let it go bro.
2020 is right around the corner. there will be a 2000 power rankings thread.

with that said, why are we arguing about this in here, and not in the power rankings thread?

The album didn't flop in 1999 and that is the point. "Hot Boyz" had already shot to #1 on the rap charts in December and spent 16 weeks there.

Breh, the success of an album has nothing to do with these lists. There's albums on most lists including mine and even yours that were nowhere near top sellers.

Being "in the way" is literally what a factor is.

Who mentioned award shows? We're talking about Missy in 1999.

my response to this will be in the power rankings thread, where it belongs.

I was never arguing about the quality of the album. I never heard it.
