Vol 3 was Jay best album lyrically
I still have RD as his best but he blacked out on Vol 3

I got the soul of a hustler, quiet noise like a muffler
fukk with us, come to the ghetto, see the place that corrupted us

nikkas acted like that album had 15 variations of the Mariah joint :childplease:

Why not? In real time, that Snoop album was kind of a big deal. It was him reuniting with Dre and "B Please" set it off. Top Dogg was No Limit's biggest album in 1999. No surprise why it is getting more mentions than any other No Limit album especially since it pretty much bucks the No Limit formula and was a hit with both No Limit and Non- No Limit fans.

Exactly. In real time everyone considered it a return to form for Snoop and bytch Please was a big record.

I thought the album was a flop when it came out. I was surprised that many considered it a good album from Snoop

it was a return to west coast snoop. that's about it.

the album overall was seen as snoop disappointing yet again. a lot of people gave up on snoop at this point and had officially stamped him as a one-album wonder.

I will say that "B-Please" sparked the lil west coast resurgence, even tho the media ignores it, because it was a no limit song and not under aftermath/interscope.

I dunno tho, maybe the west coast viewed it as an achievement on the regional end??

that's what im saying.

im noticing that a number of snoop albums are being viewed with rose-tinted glasses nowadays.
