If you said they're the GOATs, I wouldn't be mad. A lot of people have Rakim as the GOAT, Tribe as the GOAT group, EPMD as a GOAT group, etc...

I just personally feel Biggie's run of dominance was the best, and he was the nicest overall. That's why he's the GOAT to me. He was a 9-10 in almost every category imo. Wordplay, flow, delivery, voice, content, song structure, believability, storytelling, etc....

He's Jim Brown
I'm with Styles P..Nobody can pass him as the GOAT imo

2 albums man. TWO!!! If biggie was alive today, he would have beefed with Puff and basically fell off by now. Puff saved that man's career.. Had he let biggie made the Nas and Jeru type of albums he wanted to, no way would he have become a household name.

That Eminem is the Battle Rap king that can beat anybody.

let’s look at his documented list of opponents..

Ja Rule
Benzino
Mariah Carey
Nick Cannon
Fred Durst
Britney Spears
Insane Clown Posse
Everlast
Jermaine Dupri
Machine Gun Kelly
A Washed Up Canibus

and he didn’t even beat all of these either, MGK had a better diss

Facts. Biggie at his best is better than everyone else at theirs. And the two album critique is a misleading because Biggie has 100s of songs/features. It’s not like those two albums are his only work. He has more than enough material to justify his GOAT status.

No one’s run was as dominant as Biggies on the East coast.

Man.. listen

Biggie didnt have to navigate decades like Jay and Nas. Its unfair to even mention him. Nas unreleased shyt is better than Biggies unreleased or underground shyt during that time. Thats facts.

This.

The one thing that Biggie and Pac for that matter was able to accomplish that no other solo MC has was the double album. Life After Death and All Eyez On Me remain the standard for the Hip Hop double album. It's the one thing that I think Biggie and Pac did that their peers weren't able to pull off to the degree that they did it. Nas might've been able to do it had I Am... remained a double album.

I think had Pac and BIG stayed alive the game as a whole would be stronger. Nas has even commented on that, them being around forced him to stay focused and motivated him to raise his game. They would've had highs and lows like every musician ever who had a long career but they'd both be GOATs, I don't see anything they could've done that'd diminish the work they already left us

:russ: i can understand that,. I'm just dumbfounded how someone with 2 and a half years in the game (september 94 to march 97) and 2 albums that were NEVER considered by anyone credible to be the best albums of those years is the greatest of all time in this hip hop shyt. And LAD isn't even better than Wutang Forever from front to back, though I consider both classics. It's all a matter of opinion, but 2 albums and 2 and a half years???
