Light Speed and Bang Bang are both dope. Let's Get High is ehh though.

Now, the world don't move
To the beat of just one drum
What might be right for you
May not be right for some

:wtb:

Nah but really... what gets me about Bang Bang are the ridiculously high quality gun samples. It ruins the beat. shyt sounds like the Handcannon from Resident Evil 4. The beat itself its nice, I just hate those damn gun samples.

Ja had MONSTER records...

It's crazy how the world was manipulated to act like he had nothing as an artist :francis:

I wasn't really Ja Rule fan, but that Shady Aftermath machine was a literal cult until 2010. It brainwashed and even erased history that didn't cater to them.

Are you arguing about my opinion of music?
You're asking me questions and then not satisfied with my answers. Why would I know or care about the sequence order for an album I haven't listened to in over 20 years??
shyt was TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!
no, you said an album was trash, but can't explain why it's trash or even remember the names of songs on the album you thought were garbage.. It aint making sense. lol .Especially an album YOU BOUGHT 28 YEARS AGO FOR $10!!!(a TAPE, not a cd you could skip thru so you HAD to listen to it) And the funny thing is that you don't understand why that doesn't make sense to me :russ:. I just asked a simple question about which songs you thought were garbage and you can't name any. Even if it's your opinion, for several posts we're debating, you can't name which songs make the album trash in your opinion.

What songs on Blunted on Reality were trash, without looking it up?

Get it, now?

50 came out and told everyone Ja rule was soft for singing and then damn near every single he and Eminem released after Ja Rule was ran off the scene, they were singing in them. And he's been singing ever since the past 19 years. I definitely wasn't a Ja Rule fan, but that shyt was bullshyt.

The original vocab wasn't good, Boof Baf was ass, original nappy heads wasn't good. I can take a pic of the cd and post it. It's the same cd I've had for 28 years. I bought the album AFTER hearing the nappy heads video version(remix) and the vocab on the album was the worst of the bunch. There were 6 different versions. I've made a post about that previously months ago.

You named the singles, not all the songs on an album you called trash.
Do you get it? Why and how would anybody remember all the songs they didnt like on an old album that they consider trash?

Your (partial) answer to my last confirms my point. Glad that you like Tical enough to defend/argue for it. That's old school support for an album that you rock with, and on some level I respect it.

But if you can't name every song on old albums you call trash, asking me to do it is not the move.

I didn't even know boof baf was a single and I do remember Temple. As I just said, I bought the album after hearing Nappy heads remix and it was horrible. So are you comparing Tical to Blunted on reality? Yet I named 4 songs and you could only name 2 of an album that was loved by many at the time. I've heard some peope say it wasn't their favorite or as good as they expected, but "trash"? hell no.. You don't have to be able to name every song, but only 2? lol And the intro to the fugees album that Wycleff wasn't talking about a prophecy happening every 2000 years or so. So there is 6. You didn't even remember all i need and release yo delf was on the album hahahaha

People can't admit where and when they were wrong on this forum, unfortunately.

dilla being the best thing that ever happened to hip hop - it's documented, he couldn't even best qtip. let alone pete rock, premo, large professor, beatnuts, organized noise...hell, audio two, king of chill, rza.... I could go on...dilla was dope tho

He's cool... but honestly, I don't get what the big deal is. Donuts seems mad overrated to me. It's not wack by ANY means: it just never clicked for me.

I'd appreciate it if Dilla fans could link me some of your favorite Dilla joints that I may not have heard. I respect the hell outta dude, and I feel like maybe I missed something.

Thats cause like you said, CACs were getting TOO damn comfortable in black people's scenes and felt like they can set the trends by using a c00n black puppet like 50 to act out their low-key racist desires. Kinda like Stephen from Django, 50 was pushing out the cult known as Shady Aftermath agenda. They later ruined NY Rap's scene when G Unit was beefing with D Block, Dipset, Terror Squad and so on while letting the commercial south take over.

trash is going overboard IMO. It didn't live up to the hype but it's not trash. Now we look back on it and expect that it should have been to Meth what Cuban Linx was to Rae or Liquid Swords to GZA. But there were several reasons for it not reaching those heights and we all know what they are now. The fact that Men hasn't made an album to fulfil his potential even now is the biggest let down but Tical is a decent 3.5-4 album easily

not true for ALL new yorker, but a large % of them. I know a lot of people from new york from back in the day and some of them would tell me straight to my face, "if it aint from NY, it aint hip hop". New Yorkers are some of the most biased mfers on earth. They basically ran Hammer out of hip hop, but when they got their own version of hammer with less talent(Puffy), they praised him like he was God..

Puffy is a less talented version of Hammer?

What are those several reasons?

My first post here was calling BS on "bu bu bu but the flood" narrative. I've seen RZA discuss the co-lead and alternative film titles for obscure martial Arts films from 1973. There is no way he couldn't have reconstructed the exact same beats from memory after the flood. Or at least located the source of the samples. Meth was the cash cow of the group and had signed the most high profile solo deal.
"Bu bu bu but the flood" seems like them copping pleas for the weak album that they submitted.

:dahell:
As wack as you think Hammer is, he actually WRITES his own wack rhymes. And Hammer was/is a great dancer and probably the best on stage performer in hip hop history with the best stage show ever whether you like him or not. What are puff's talents again? Taking pre-established HITS and having artists rhyme over the instrumentals? lol. That's not a talent, those are business decisions.
