God is the good willed spirit that is inside of everyone
the devil is the evil spirit inside everyone.

Im god, you're god, everyone on this website is God, so yest God is real
this is dualism with a solipsistic view in a nutshell

I see you're hip on this too. I was planning on making a thread on this topic here but most likely keep some stuff I been researching to myself and a FEW others. The thing with Europeans(indo-Europeans) is that they only view the world in materalism and modern science has been greatly influenced by it. Now... before people try and put the tinfoil hat on me I am NOT discrediting science but the modern Darwinist materialistic mainstream science we see today and among many atheists including those on here. I don't know what you believe in but people of African descent and non-Indo European people always seen the world in metaphyshic. For example nature and caring for the environment. It comes naturally for Africans(Vodou is really about nature) but for Europeans? Its just a piss poor copy like that Greta Thunberg girl. Hell, most Indo-European spirituality are piss poor copies of others.

Now... Most of these modern atheists(who are really Darwinists) don't realize a bombshell has already been dropped in science. Modern science can not explain "consciousness" in modern humans. Its a bombshell because mainstream science believed evolution is a purely chemical process that is recorded fully in the DNA molecule. If that's the case then why do grapes which are less complex than humans have more genes?

Mainstream science ignores physics meanwhile traditional African religions don't(I'll get to that another time). Anyways, I don't know WHAT YOU believe in but physics does hint that the universe is a cognitive being.... And before people from the Darwinist materialism atheist church try and discredit me here are authentic scientist having that SAME discussion.....

Is the universe conscious?

And yes this is an ongoing discussion in the scientific community. I use to clown hoteps who use to believe in stuff like this until I was humbled. Anyways, gonna stop here. Feel free to PM me for an in depth discussion. Don't want the Darwinist Atheists attacking me.

Anyways... @MischievousMonkey @CubanVoodooBreh @Premeditated @The Hierophant yall thoughts?
Man listen.

Most pseudo-science inclined people pretend to see the world uniquely through a scientific prism but don't respect basic rules of science, such as being able to pronounce themselves on stuff existing or not.

That's not even getting on the system of white supremacy, which is pervasive and permeates through all spheres of human activity. Science and religion are not exempt.
You already know how a breh raised in his traditional beliefs would be hit with the :camby:

Until it's "validated" by the white-dominated scientific world:

Always struck me that the smartest scientists I know always avoid falling into the traps of scientism, whatever their personal beliefs are.

Scientism is the promotion of science as the best or only objective means by which society should determine normative and epistemological values. The term scientism is generally used critically, implying a cosmetic application of science in unwarranted situations considered not amenable to application of the scientific method or similar scientific standards.

I appreciate quantum physics a lot for shaking the scientific world and bringing about deep questions about the philosophy of science.

I made a thread on materialism/physicalism back then:

Papa Legba is not one of the aggressive or :demonic: Loas like the Petra or Geude Loas. He can actually be very helpful but still he is a TRICKSTER and you have to be careful. I don't know why new age Wiccan cacs try and mess with African spiritual beliefs because its not for them. If anything you have to be apart of the "bloodline." I'm sure @CubanVoodooBreh can elaborate further.
how does one representing Christ even post something like this? nothing "helpful" about conjuring up demonic spirits or using witchcraft in any form.

*SPOILER ALERT* This is a scene from later in Crossroads (a classic movie, btw) when Legba makes an appearance. This is my favorite portrayal of him.

Interesting.

A couple of years ago, I attended the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. One of my favorite acts was this group called Ibeyi from Cuba.

At the beginning of their performance, they sang this chant to Eleggua who is known as the "opener of the way". I found out they sing this chant at the beginning of all their performances. It's in Yoruba.

When I first heard it I thought it was mesmerizing.

I know there are differences in these practices across the Americas but I know all of it goes back to Oyo and Dahomey.

Is "Eleggua" the same as "Legba"?
I believe Eleggua is also know as Eshu or something like that. They tried to give the audience a little filler about Santeria because their music is based off of it and Yoruba symbolism.

Their most famous song was River, which was about a River Orisha?

Supposedly their is Yoruba symbolism in this video and they even sing in Yoruba in the end.

Edit:

I also found it comforting that their rituals are done in Yoruba like Islamic worship is conducted in Arabic or Christian worship in Latin among some churches.

Doesn't it equally seek out to put good on a source other than man as well?

I have a hard time seeing that sort of scapegoating in Jesus at all. He repeatedly affirms that our negative actions come from our own heart.

Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”

Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”

He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

Peter said, “Explain the parable to us.”

“Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”

And it's not just Jesus, throughout the Bible it's made clear that man is given a choice. There's all sorts of famous passages about that. Whereas "the devil" is virtually never mentioned, and he's not seen as the one responsible for human behavior. Humans are always responsible for human behavior. If you hear a preacher saying otherwise, he's distorting the Gospel.

Man, depends how you define smart of course. Scientism is RAMPANT at every level. I'm always impressed with the insightfulness/humility of any scientist who doesn't fall to it.

this is a weird theory but the more i look into this its actually plausible

its long but its quite interesting i must say

there are other diluvian theories but the best place to start is in studying the grand canyon and the fact many of its striations indicate cataclysm as opposed to millions of years of settling sediments.

most scientists outright reject the flood as it would make them recognize god. Its hard to find true scientific theories about it other than a few private religious universities

I thought the flood was created by the ice melting due a cataclysmic event?:stopitslime: It has nothing to do with recognizing god
