You shouldn’t have to tip food delivery drivers.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
That shyt caught me off guard when I first saw it on the card reader as I had just went in there a few weeks ago and it wasn't there. It also makes it rather awkward at the register as they are staring at you the entire time you're determining a tip amount and you can tell by their tone if they are happy with the amount lol.

It's not just restaraunts. A lot of small businesses are using Square or Clover and they program them to ask for tips. You can't do that with traditional POS machines.

I always find the concept of tipping weird in that how do you determine who deserves a tip and who doesn't?

For example, fast food workers can't take tips but Subway and people working at Starbucks can even when they all do about the same amount work and more.

This tipping business is unknown here in Europe.
:hubie:
Been to over 20 countries and it’s actually an insult to tip service workers abroad. I rarely do it here unless it’s dine in at a nicer restaurant because I know their dumbass hourly rage is $2.13

I don't mind tipping but I don't like how Doordash or other delivery apps has you tip when placing the order

I don't wanna tip until after I get my food. Cause ain't shyt more annoying then leaving a tip and they take forever to deliver my shyt or they go to the wrong address

They hide it/make it difficult to see but you can choose other and put 0, and after the order add a tip/adjust your tip.

I tip on the cost of the food. Not on top of the taxes and service charges and these apps charge you tip off of the entire price. That shyt is a gotdamn scam so I provide my own tip. I do this with restaurants too. I tip on the pre-tax price.

Folk giving 25% tip thinking it's 15% :francis:
