You shouldn’t have to tip food delivery drivers.

I’m sure a lot of Uber east drivers wouldn’t have a job if they did that because now you would have to fill out an app to get hired and then you’d complain that your food is taking too long to arrive





But aside from that some of the Uber eats drivers who probably do make some good money would probably make less since now they have a “wage”.


Uber and those gig apps should stay the way they are. What Uber should do is take less money away from the drivers and delivery boys

I don't disagree these drivers should be paid, but I just don't think that should be passed down to the customer.

Why don't you tip the postman, or the bus driver, or the brew selling your kicks at FootLocker?

I'm in UK, so our main delivery people JustEat do not have a tip process, as I believe they paid the drivers more.

We don't tip much in Europe because it's the responsibility of the employer to pay their staff a livable wage, not the consumer.

The price of the service should be inclusive of the staff wage. It is for every job that doesn't tip.

Those delivery services are extra cheeky. There's a delivery fee, a service fee.. then they want to do a tip on top? What's the delivery and service fee going towards then????? Oh.. the people with power.

I went to a spot around the corner to pick up dinner a few weeks back and when I paid, that prompt came up about how much did I want to tip. Before I could even do anything, the young lady at the counter stopped me and said, “Sir, you don’t have to tip us. We don’t even get any of the tips, it goes right back to the owners.” I thanked her for the “tip” and now I straight up ask before I even think about giving them something extra when I’m carrying out.

Another spot I tried out last week put a 7% “COVID fee” on top of my bill. I didn’t even realize it until I got home and checked the receipt. I don’t even know what the fukk a “COVID fee” could be, but needless to say, I’ll never set foot in there ever again.

I find the excuse that restaurants use to charge a “COVID fee” weak because they should have already been cleaning and sanitizing the establishment in the first place. So why do you have to add the fee just to buy supplies?

They’d be better off just masquerading it by increasing the prices instead of having it added to the receipt.

I don't mind tipping but I don't like how Doordash or other delivery apps has you tip when placing the order

I don't wanna tip until after I get my food. Cause ain't shyt more annoying then leaving a tip and they take forever to deliver my shyt or they go to the wrong address

I remember tipping a pizza delivery driver when placing the order as they gave you no other option to do so. Then they had the nerve to call and tell me that “I got four other orders to drop off before I get to your crib, so it will be a while.”

Food came an hour later and they still didn’t get the order right. Plus the food was cold as hell and all they offered as compensation was a $6 pizza coupon

People are selfish because they don’t like being on the hook for paying other people’s wages and expect the company that employs their workers to pay them. Ok.

This is what I can’t stand about tipping culture. Not only is something that is supposed to be at the discretion of the customer basically made mandatory, but it is applied inconsistently. People on both spectrums bicker about it while the business gets away with it.
